Very very disappointed

Very disappointing experience. Unfortunately the Mercure in Le Touquet, where we have stayed twice very recently was not available so my husband and I booked here with my mother and her dog, who had been holidaying with us for a month. We are Accor members and regularly stay in their hotels and on this trip had stayed both in Mecure in Le Touquet, twice in the Novotel in Poitiers and regurlarly stay in the Mercure in Toulouse all vastly superior to this establishment. We arrived and found the reception to the Ibis area difficult to find as previously mentioned. Once I found reception the young lady was both pleasant and helpful however the walk back to the room was long and not well sign posted and we had to walk through the restaurant and the bar. If like my mother you have mobility issues make the staff aware in advance otherwise you will be exhausted just getting to your room! As always we had vouchers for a welcome drink. When I attempted to redeem them the you gentleman was very rude and insisted I pay full price for two gin and tonics as only soft drinks were free. Now I wouldn't mind but as a regular customer and member I have never been asked to pay for a g & t before and he charged me 30 euros. I tried to explain the situation but he would not listen and just said no, not a hint of customer service. The rooms themselves are ok but as previously mentioned the balconies and windows are dirty irrelevent when despite being by the sea the windows are easy to clean when out on the balcony. I cancelled by booking for the following week as fortunately the Mercure has availability. I looked back at previous reviews many of which were not complimentary and I note the management replied the team will discuss the reviews well they clearly take not notice of their customers. The team here could certainly learn a thing or two from other hotels in the group!

What a shame this hotel was so disappointing! Noisy, walls paper thin, way too hot ( the air conditioning was pointless) and way too windy to open a window. The bathroom ok, but the “rain” shower pathetic! This is not a 4 star hotel!

Lovely hotel. Lots to do, many bar areas and Lovely pool area. Great views. Lovely staff. Dog friendly. Garden view still gets sea view.

We stayed here after fabulous stays in Trouville and Carteret so the size of the room was a bit of a shock but the terrace overlooking the sea helped The check inexperience was a bit confused with guests jumping from pod to pod to attempt to speed up the system but once receptionist was engaged it went smoothly The room was spotless and had every amenity for a short stay Breakfast was a typical buffet but excellent Many folk utilised the beach, pool and Thalassa - I am confused whether this is an upmarket Ibis or a down market thalassotherapy experience but it seems popular At £163 a night it was good value

Relaxing stay by the sea

I wanted a few relaxing days by the seaside. The hotel room with balcony and sea view was just perfect for this. I did long walks every day. And a swim in the seawater swimming pool. Too bad the thalassa treatments offered on their website were not available at the hotel. As a Silver All Accor member, I enjoyed a welcome drink. For breakfast, I just went to a café downtown, only 10 minutes walk, as I wanted peace & quiet, not a busy restaurant. The hotel staff is very friendly. Lots of parking space available. The rooms have a small fridge. Don't expect any big city shops / department stores in this small remote touristic place. But lots of small great specialty food shops.
