Appalling service. Restaurant abandoned.

I had been to this hotel in the past and was very much looking forward to my return visit. I had booked half board as previously both the restaurant service and the food were acceptable, however having turned up to the restaurant at 19.10 (it opens at 19.00), I sat for half an hour waiting for someone to take my order. Finally, when they arrived the order was placed. A three course set menu, and a bottle of red wine. After 20 minutes no bread arrived. No water arrived. The starter of a green salad did reach me eventually. But still no red wine. I had now waited over an hour and only been given one green salad. I approached the manageress and told her that I could not wait any longer, and although I had opted for half board in advance, I certainly would not be paying for the following morning upon checkout for the meal that was not received. Although she was most helpful, the rest of her staff treated it all like some sort of joke. Where has this chain gone wrong? They were once trustworthy and reliable. You always knew what you were going to get, no matter where. Now an alternative will have to be found, as to spend nine hours in a car not knowing if you will be fed or watered upon arrival at your destination is unacceptable for any traveler. Shambolic.

Perfect for our needs

We needed a stopover after taking the ferry to Toulon. We were horribly delayed and did not arrive at the hotel until 3am. However check in was easy and we slept well. Breakfast which we eat on our little terrace was good. Outside areas are a little scruffy but the room was spotless. Would recommend.

Close to motorway

Easy to find, good facilities, clean. Room was quiet and had everything we needed, but we found it a little small. But for one night it was fine. Plenty of parking, everything worked, nice people at check out.

No more time in this Hotel

The room smells musty. Better to skip the climate because the stench intensifies. ventilation apparently only takes place by guests. last visit 8 or 9 years ago, since then nothing has changed in the rooms in terms of color or furniture. only the lobby and the restaurant area is apparently more recent as it was moved from one building to another. Restaurant staff was hopelessly overwhelmed when we were there. So they tried several times to get rid of drinks ordered by other guests from us but wanted to get rid of our ordered food from the other guests when we then tried to make it clear to the waitress that we had ordered it, it almost failed due to language difficulties (besides my mother tongue German, I can still speak English and Spanish only no French) the service but only French. the only person who could speak English was at the front desk. Sadly for a hotel chain like Accor.

Regarding the smell encountered in your room, we are trying in vain to combat this problem which will be resolved as soon as possible. We may not have done a renovation but we changed our bedding and we hope you had a good night's sleep thanks to it. Nowadays, we can find a lot of ways to succeed in communicating in foreign languages, we are sorry that we could not have remedied that. The hotel has good parking facilities and is easy to locate. The reception was friendly and helpful which is always nice. The room was clean and well prepared and overlooked the swimming pool area. Dinner at the hotel was also very good with a nice menu and friendly staff. Overall an excellent stopover.
