Nice well situated hotel but impossible parking for a large SUV

This hotel is very well situaties in the city center and close to everything you want to visit; breakfast is good. But if you have a large SUV don’t try to park in their underground parking, you might get in but to get out nose first is nearly impossible without scratching the car. The turn up nose first is very very difficult.

This is a budget hotel so our expectations weren’t very high, however I have stayed in much better budget hotels. I’ve no idea how this one has 3 stars. The room was very shabby and definitely not soundproof as described on the website. There was a chunk missing from the bottom of the door! The room also had an unpleasant musty smell. There was an error with our booking and we had one less bed than I had booked, so I had to share a bed with my daughter which was very annoying, but the hotel was full so there was nothing they could do about it. There was also an error when we checked out and they tried to charge us for one of the rooms twice, despite us showing proof of payment. Positives? The beds were clean and comfortable and it was in a convenient central location. Would we stay again though? No.

It is a very well located hotel, with very basic rooms. The rooms look old and the beds are not very comfortable. The rooms size are adequated for the type of hotel. The staff are helpful and friendly. The breakfast is better than expected, they have nice cheese and cold cuts.

It’s not a bad place to stay, in the grand scheme of things. It’s a shame that the room was backing on to an abandoned building, but you can’t blame the hotel for that. The rooms are rather small, making it quite difficult for two adults to move around at the same time. Some very friendly staff were able to understand my very limited French, which was much poorer than their English. A good continental breakfast selection, but I do think the prices of their spirits were rather on the high side. Overall, a reasonable stay.

Very convenient if you're in Grenoble by train as in fug or a few days. Non-smoking rooms on entire floors... unless someone on that floor IS SMOKING. Mentioned three times in 6 hours to various changing personnel at the front desk... result? NOTHING!
