From the time my wife and I walked into the Sofitel, we felt very welcomed. Aurora was kind, professional, and ready to provide all of the relevant information. Throughout our stay, Aurora, along with Jessica and Silvi were always available with a pleasant smile and a cheerful "bonjour." The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. An earlier review complained about the rooftop noise. We did not hear any of that kind of noise. There were rooftop parties in the neighboring buildings, but I am a very light sleeper and I could barely hear that noise, despite the fact that our window faced those other buildings. We also had a great view of the docks. The hotel is nicely placed in terms of getting access to many of the sights. The breakfast at Les Trois Forts was superb. We ate dinner there during our last night's stay and that too was superb. Our server, Max was excellent. Bravo Sofitel Marseille Vieux-Port!

My friend and I arrived at 5pm to check in and were sent to the wrong room. No one called for an hour to update us. We didn’t end up getting our room until 7:15. 2 HOURS for a hotel room that costs $320 an and that promises “luxury”????? Front desk was dismissive as well. Only nice guy was the man that took care of your luggage <3 The lack of communication and respect is crazy. No one even apologized for the inconvenience nor wait. There are much better hotels than this in marseille

Excellent hotel. Superb staff Breno Freitas and his team truly incredible. Great Service and guidance when advising us of glorious Marseille. Hotel room was plush beautiful and extremely well equipped. One of my favourite hotels in this area. Highly Highly recommended.

The hotel has a wonderful view, the food and the service of some is outstanding. However, if you are being looked at by a young attendee for valet parking as if you are something worse than him, than something is wrong. I have stayed at the most expensive hotel room - and I was treated badly by a person who parks cars. There was an old person, who was a professional, but a young man, with a beard looked up and down and put his nose up in the air, failing to bring me my car or aide with the luggage. I was not the only person with this problem, he also ignored a black family entirely and a gay couple with disabilities. Sorry, Accor and Sofitel needs to make sure that this never happens again. I will bring this to the attention of Accor hotels, because funnily enough, I do own shares in that company. I don‘t know what‘s wrong with staff nowadays and there are many wonderful people in this hotel, but this one ruined it all. Sidenote: Marseille is not worth a trip, I‘ve been here for the second time and I wanted to sweeten it with a nice hotel stay, which unfortunately didn‘t work. Complain, if you feel the same, this is not Accor standard, this is nasty, disgusting and hurts the reputation of this hotel.

It’s a very well located hotel, with the best breakfast view in the city. On the other hand - It doesn’t have its own pool, You can use the adjacent pool which belongs to the Novotel, but only if they authorize it… and they sometimes don’t… The rooms lack a second curtain so you can’t really make the room dark if you want to sleep. the gym is very poorly maintained, the one bicycle is completely broken, some equipment is missing or rusty… The sauna door gets jammed when you try to open or close it…
