Excellent welcome from staff. Clean rooms, good food and service. The only regret was that there was not orange squeezing machine at breakfast, unlike the Novotel at Limoges, which was also excellent.

Room good and very clean. Location perfect for airport. Breakfast a bit chaotic - food and drink stations not promptly replenished at the buffet. Airport shuttle not running at present but this was not obvious on the website. Had to book a taxi but reception were very helpful with this.

Not easy to find the hotel at night, no lit up sign. Rooms need refurbishment, pillows are awful, cleanliness needs improvement, will not stay there next time. I've been to much better airport hotels even with only three stars.

I booked this hotel because I had to wait overnight for connecting flights. The hotel website clearly indicated there was an airport shuttle. Sadly in reality no shuttle available. Otherwise staff were very nice and friendly and property clean but basic

I was very satisfied with the stay at Novotel Mérignac, considering the new lockdown regulations of the French government. Service was limited to a basic level, despite of this the staff did their outmost to make the best of my stay. The number of staff was downsized to 1, he had to take care of everything, which is not that obvious. But both the guy at the check-in and the young guy who had to take care of me for breakfast and check-out did a great job. So I would like to thank both of them, especially the young guy in the morning who gave me something extra for breakfast. I will certainly book this hotel again in the future!

close to airport and cosy

nice and confortable hotel. staff is kind and they provide shuttle service to/from airport. rooms are not renewed, they are a bit tired and carpet was not clean. bathroom was quite old but clean. I had a problem with the shower they fixed quickly. The overall stay was fine.

One night stop in Novotel Mérignac

Rather dissapointed by the overall conditions of this hotel. This hotel looks very old without any revamping and modernization for years. Especially carpets with many stains everywhere (corridors, bedrooms). I feel it pitty for Accor image (which I usually highly appreciate). However service was goog and Covid safety measures properly applied.

When we have a morning flight from Bordeaux we always stay the night before at this hotel. The staff are charming and friendly, the hotel is conveniently situated for the airport and the food in the restaurant is excellent.

Service at this hotel has definitely declined since the time I stayed earlier in the year. The focus is on business travellers and everything is geared toward that aim. As a result everything is a little hurried and impersonal. As an Accor Gold member I receive a welcome drink from the hotel. Travelling as a couple every other Accor hotel that I stay in offers drinks to both people on the booking. Not this one! One drink between two people. How do you choose. A double room booked for two people, but only one bottle of water to share. You definitely get the feeling that the hotel is run by the accountants. Service at the bar here is terrible. The barman was away from the bar during the busy early evening (6.30pm) service period (apparently making a phone call) resulting in six people waiting at the bar for fifteen minutes for service. Eventually the lady receptionist attempted to serve everyone. As a Gold level Accor member my wife and I were made to feel anything but welcome. Doubt we will stay again.

staff/rooms/cleanliness - all were fine and we enjoyed our stay overall, especially being so close to the airport however, the food quality was far below par and could only demonstrate the cooks' complete lack of professionalism/care (unedible crust of cheese left in burger - etc...) we had traveled to the same hotel outbound and this trip only confirmed our initial opinion

Rang the hotel at least 7 or 8 times. The number rang out, but no one answered. A number of other families were waiting for the hotel transfer. This is from 9pm till 9.30pm. We had specially stated our arrival time on the booking. We eventually got on the local Bordeaux bus and walked to the hotel.

Having only one person in reception that evening, with a rush, it was complicated to manage the answers on the phone. Nevertheless, you should not have suffered from this problem. Very little english, if any, spoken at reception. Found the front desk arrogant and not interested in helping, especially as we had two large suitcases and no clear directions to elevator which is quite a distance from reception. No toiletries in room and paper cups for coffee making - not eco friendly as was coated. Staff in restaurant and bar were completely different. Still no english but what a different attitude. We are Accor members and expect better or is it that Australian standards are higher.

Great location for Cycle Touring

We used this hotel as a start and finish for our cycle tour. The staff were very helpful collecting us and our bike luggage from the airport and storing our bike boxes for 5 days until our return the following weekend.

Disappointing staff attitude

This is the fourth time I have stayed here, and it may well be my last. I was allocated the wrong room to start with, but this was rectified quite quickly. Minutes before dinner, the restaurant was still all in darkness, and it was difficult to find someone to serve a pre-dinner drink. Staff indifference was most pronounced at breakfast. When I arrived, there was nobody around to tell me how the breakfast worked. So I had to work it out for myself, and when the sole person on duty emerged from the kitchen, she was not in the least interested in the customers and promptly walked out of the restaurant. When I was checking out, I spotted her chatting to her colleagues in the office behind reception. I have seldom experienced such indifference. As I say, this was possibly my last visit to this hotel.

When we are leaving on a morning flight from Bordeaux we always stay here. The staff are charming and efficient, the rooms comfortable and you eat well there. It is also only a 5 minute shuttle trip to the airport.

Good transit hotel in need of a changeover!

Close to the 'Rocade', which circles the city of Bordeaux. Friendly staff, but the hotel needs a complete changeover. Old carpets in the hallways, outdated furniture, bathrooms are small, a person taller than 175cm can't stand-up under the shower...At this rate there are far better Novotel-hotels than this one!

If we have a morning flight from Bordeaux then we always stay here. It is always a great start to our holiday. The staff are welcoming, rooms comfortable and you eat well in the restaurant.The Nanette only takes 5 minutes to get to the airport terminal.

Tired Novotel

The proximity to the airport is very good and there are several places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. The bed was comfortable. The room was uncomfortable temperature wise as after a certain date the AC is turned off. Fortunately, the window could be opened. Brown water gushed from the shower when the water was first turned on. After a minute or so the water became clear. Old water pipes I assume. Time for this Novotel to undergo renovations.

Good family stopping off point on a drive to Northern Spain from the UK. Nice and quiet setting despite being near the airport / off the motorway. Breakfast is really good. Kids enjoyed the little gifts. Nice start to a family holiday.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Hotel feels worn and in need of a refurbishment. Evening meal was tasty and well priced. The wine was very expensive and not good value. Airco worked but was not efficient. Great free parking facilities. Easy access from the ring road. Great value for three people in the one room.
