This is a four star hotel in the middle of a large city where one would expect up to date amenities. There were only 2 USB ports in the room and they did not work. Several explanations were given for this; non worked in the hotel, some did work in the hotel , and if a client informed them that the US ports did not work , they would get them repaired, but not at weekends. We asked to have a room changed to where the USB ports did work, but they refused. Despite having a thermostat and air-conditioning control in the room one cannot control the temperature. The hotel temperature is centrally controlled. It was so hot that it was very difficult to sleep if not impossible and a huge waste of energy.

Regarding the USB ports, I understand how frustrating it can be when equipment does not function as expected. We strive to maintain our facilities in good working order, and your feedback will be taken into account to improve our service. Please note that our 24-hour receptionists offer adapters that work perfectly. Furthermore, the USB ports have been repaired by our technical department. Concerning the temperature control in the rooms, I would like to clarify that the air conditioning is indeed centrally managed for the overall comfort of our guests, and that during your stay, the weather was exceptionally (and unusually) mild for November. However, I understand that this may have affected your personal comfort, and I apologize for this inconvenience. I am writing the same response to your second identical review on another website. Good location and front desk service but still a few issues

We stayed here 2 nights, and enjoyed the hotel’s close location to many restaurants, museums and other sights. The front desk was easy to work with and helped us get everything in our room setup the way we wanted. The bathtub/shower has a very large step to get in and out which could be an issue for some people, and the toilet was located behind the doorway. Otherwise, the bathroom layout worked good. The air conditioning never did get the room cooled down quite enough for us. The breakfast buffet had quite a few options on it but some were confusing. Raw eggs and small saucepans were provided for guests to cook their own eggs on a hot plate and/or soft boil in hot water. This was something that we had never seen before. Also, the hot tea was loose in canisters and had to be spooned into special pots before adding hot water. Fortunately, the hotel had several breakfast attendants to assist us with questions and issues.

Here are some fun quirky ideas to consider: Signs! How to get to the hotel from the parking garage. So novel! Also signs as to where you can and cannot park in said garage. Weird but give it a shot. Also elevators that work! And ones where you don’t have to hold down a button to go up. Nightmare.
