Shabby, no hot water

Shabby room. Much less nice than the average Ibis, whereas Mercure is supposed to be a cut above. The night we were staying there, there wad no hot water. The next morning, still no hot water. When we inquired st the desk, they said we'd have to wait until 8:30 to have hot water----no apologies, as if it were the most normal thing in the world! When we checked out, they simply said goodbye---again no apologies, no offer of a discount on the room.

We thank you for your feedback but did not understand the "Shabby room"... We refurbished the hotel in 2019, some rooms have already some tiny defects but are not "shabby"... Concerning the hot water, indeed we had a failure on Monday night. We were on the phone with the dedicated company until 10pm but couldn't solve the problem. A technical man arrived on Tuesday morning at 7:30 am and the problem was solved at about 8:15. We apologise for this breakdown which was beyond our controle. Of course we apologise towards our client, we were very annoyed by this. We hope to welcome you again in order to regain your trust. Celine, adjointe de direction

Quick stopover on the way to Italy. Way better than expected - clean, comfortable room, big double bed, excellent lighting, excellent bathroom, quiet even though convenient for the A40 motorway. Big breakfast spread - better than many much more expensive places. Plenty of parking and it's free.

Just one word, bad. Room wasn’t done properly, restaurant was dirty and food really bad. Staff was more or less ok but no flexibility whatsoever. There was no ice available, half of the menu wasn’t available and the toilets linked to the bar were dirty.

Arrived for a one night stay on Business. Very friendly welcome on checking in, room allocated on 2nd floor at rear of Hotel (503) Very spacious and super clean with all amenities provided. Super comfortable bed and very quiet. Now the Breakfast…..🥞…. Absolutely superb, with a vast range of food both Hot & Cold. Ample parking on site, secured with an automated gate in the evening. Evening meal in Restaurant was Excellent with a good menu choice, well presented and very good value. Would definitely stay again and I’ll add this to my favourites.

The ambience feels business according to the purpose of the hotel, but is still very welcoming and nice, particularly thanks to the qualified staff. The room is large enough, very clean and with good services (water in the minibar, kettle and autonomous heating system). Some details need attention like the shower where water drops out, and pretty dangerous is the block on the anti-fire system that can lead to serious consequences. The staff can also guarantee various informations, maps and services to visit the near city of Geneva. The price is coherent with the position and the quality.
