1. Headquarters by The Council

By music lovers for music lovers, this hidden gem on Boat Quay is raw and it’s got character in spades. Step into HQ (as it’s affectionately dubbed by regulars) from Tuesday through Saturday and you’ll hear thumping techno played by local and international DJs behind a cage-like booth. Its niche as a no-frills underground club has created a tight-knit but friendly community of discerning partygoers from Singapore and abroad who have made the 7-month-old club their sanctuary.

2. Kilo Lounge

The brand new Kilo Lounge, is just a 15-minute walk away from Clarke Quay MRT. Walk through the concrete tunnel to the entrance. The bouncer then opens the door to reveal raw concrete finishings, wood panelled ceilings, and leftfield electronic music blasting through the club’s speakers. Due to its central location, a diverse crowd of locals, expats, travellers, and office executives patronise the club for a nightcap or a weekend boogie. Besides putting on tech house and disco nights on weekends, the venue also operates as a lounge on weekdays as shuttered grills keep the dancefloor out of bounds.

The club's DJs play a range of genres; you'll hear drum 'n' bass to trap to techno at its dedicated club nights. The club also hosts bi-weekly comedy shows with one of Singapore's most well-known entertainer, Kumar.
“KUMAR is irreverent, no-holds-barred, and a talented showman. You’ll fall off your chair as he pokes fun at every – literally every – facet of Singapore life. We’re always amazed as how he keeps a straight face as our clients and their audiences roll on the floor and choke on their dinners as his jokes keep on flowing.” – Superstar Special Events
