JPVPerth Couples - TripAdvisor review

This place is everything you expect the Maldives to be - overwater villas, turquoise water, white sand and great snorkelling. We travelled with a Luxury Escapes package that included flights from Male and all inclusive meals & drinks. It was well worth the inclusions and we'd recommend the full board option (although our wastelines do not! 😀). The staff were amazing - Kumar and Made were especially friendly and always remembered our names. There was a different food theme every night so it was always varied and the food was always fresh and tasty. We enjoyed the overwater villa but the beach villas looked just as nice. Access from the overwater villa to the water was via a ladder that could get quite slippery so just be aware of that. Also, the airport closed just after we landed, so the return journey to Male was much much longer than anticipated, which was a bit disappointing but not the resort's fault. Definitely recommend the resort.

This was a bucket list trip for my 60th birthday. From the moment we arrived, Mercure was different from anywhere I've ever been. Our over water pool villa was phenomenal! The service and attention to detail were top notch! The food was outstanding as well. LOVED the Vista Italian restaurant! Even the snorkeling excursion was exceptional; the dive team went out with us and sought out cool things for us to see. Every other snorkeling trip I've been on, we've been dropped into the water and left to fend for ourselves. Not at Mercure! The trip to get there was brutal, but 100% worth it!

The villa was good, we’ve stay over the water villa. The bed was too soft it actually hurts my back. The one I was really disappointed was the foods, almost every dishes was a bit too salty and the meats was so hard and tough to chew. If it wasn’t for the villa I would give the rating below 5.
