Checking was a 15 minute wait It was all rather slow and a bit cold re attitude. We stayed here 27 th dec last year and everyone was much friendlier The prices for cocktails were high though tasted lovely. Service slow though. The hotel was chilly and definitely has gone downhill since last year.... Our rooms were great. Two rooms for our family of six. The pool and jacuzzi were a tad cold. The rooms bath water wasn't hot enough whereas the shower had too hot water ironically ! Definitely will try another hotel next year ....for the five star super high Irish prices think it's not up to five star standard sadly

Do not stay here! Always stay at k club and major regrets this year. No heating, hotel was freezing, our children are home sick! Service was 1/10. No one knew what was happening. Long queue to check in and out. A marathon to get to breakfast room and once there the queue and food cold and burnt. No plates, milk, bread, butter like a stone. Still waiting for cutlery! No pool access even though signs clearly say it was open to 6pm! No lunch service, gift shop, boutique closed. Not a fire like and the place had heaters plugged in left right and centre. Leads everywhere. Staff not a notion what to do or how to treat guests. Bedroom freezing, pool like the ice bucket challenge. Battery operated candles and did not look or feel like Christmas. Wish we stayed at home. Do not stay here

Terrible Experience here. 1. Check in was chaotic, lots of people waiting. When we did get checked in at 4.30pm we were provided with very little information. 2. An invoice pushed under our door for 161 euros of liquor from the lobby bar which we didn't buy. 3. Breakfast was a shambles, a huge que. The A La Carte Breakfast had been switched for a buffet breakfast. Got served an omelette I wouldnt give my dog. 4. Was overcharged on departure by nearly £90 and in sterling even though i asked to pay in euros. Have rang 15 times with no answer to the hotel to resolve the overcharged issue. Have also emailed 3 times. Do yourself a favour and go to the K Club instead.

I don’t normally complain or write reviews but not the 5 star experience you are promised . Only one desk open for check in . Heating wasn’t working had electric fan heaters in the bar. Tv kept glitching. Went for breakfast and had to walk outside to separate buildings not a big deal but would have brought a jacket if I had known , it was 2 degrees outside and I just got out of the shower. Arrived for breakfast no glasses available for juice, had to wait. No plates available for hot food, had to wait, food was cold had to queue for toast so gave up in the end as was way too slow, Just one 4 slice toaster , when we were offered tea there was no milk left . When leaving 20 mins later staff still telling guests they had no milk left.Butter was solid not spreadable Tesco is 5 minutes away by car . We spent over €700 for one night stay and would expect better

We stayed in hotel recently for 2 nights around the Christmas/New Year period. Lovely room but breakfast left experience down.members of the public are allowed come into hotel for breakfast leading to a chaotic experience. On day 1 nobody takes us through the breakfast options. The buffet table is middle of room is in wrong position in my view but people coming in from all angles. On day 2 we were not asked if we wanted to order off the menu. I could hear numerous people following up on tea/coffee orders despite the volume of hotel employees present. We order paper at checkin which did not arrive each day despite a chaser. We were not asked at check out how our stay was.
