The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. They phoned us after we'd been there a day to ask if everything was ok. We mentioned that the temperature of the water in the shower did not get hot enough and that the hair conditioner "pump" didn't work, and they resolved all of that. The room was not very comfortable, however: it was small, with a dismal "view" of an air shaft; one fairly narrow window (which, i guess, why bother with a big window when the "view" is awful?); the heating system seemed really old: when the heat kicked on, the whole ceiling sort of rattled (i guess the ducts were up there?). It was often either cold or too hot - and VERY dry (like most hotel rooms, but when you have to have the heat on b/c otherwise it's too cold, the dryness is more of a problem). They should provide extra blankets: my husband was cold all the time and actually put a bathrobe on top of the comforter to try to get warmer. Yes, we could've asked for an extra blanket, but still...There was no fridge in the room - i think we overheard another guest ask for one: i guess they used to have them or had mini-bars but discontinued it? Bathroom was fine, modern. One negative, which the staff acknowledged but said they couldn't do anything about was the smell of sewer in the area by the elevator. Thankfully, it wasn't noticeable in our room! VERY good location, in Over-the-Rhine; directly across from the Aronoff Center; walking distance to many restaurants etc. Doubt that we'll return though.

I've stayed at the 21c many times. The last trip, I was was put in a room that's condition was poor and the view was of an interior / roof / shaft, even though the hotel was clearly not full.
