Good location but tricky to access

We have been visiting Koblenz for many years through family connections that are now deceased, and this was the first time we have been back since then and stayed in this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located for the attractions in the town and also to public transport, but is difficult to access, either by car or on foot, because of its proximity to a complex road junction, which has currently become worse due to reconstruction of the adjacent river Rhine bridge. Despite this, there was no significant noise in our bedroom on the 8th floor. In addition to its convenient location, it is one of the few hotels in Koblenz that has the use of a public car park, albeit for a daily discounted charge. We also found payment of the correct discounted parking charge problematic at the machine, despite our reasonable knowledge of German. The breakfast buffet was very good, but expensive, although cheaper if booked in advance as part of a B&B package, which we didn’t want to commit to for every day as we had other plans. We also found the hotel service to be a little impersonal. However, despite these comments, we will probably come again.

Don’t rely on their booking system !

Booked a room well in advance and had email confirmation of the reservation from the hotel . Despite this , they denied all knowledge . The receptionist at least tried to help us find another hotel although we incurred additional expense . Shambolic !

Overbooked, no room

Booked a room at this hotel to meetup with friends. Got a confirmation email and reservation number. However, on arrival, we were basically told the hotel was overbooked and there was no room for us. What a joke !

Great hotel, breakfast buffet big and plenty, parking on site and walking distance to city centre. Would stay again. Privilege rooms have fridge which is a big plus to cool your own drinks.

A lovely hotel, nice staff. Very comfortable room and bed with tea/coffee making and fridge. Clean bathroom. The location is right on the river, unfortunately there are bridge works which make it a bit further to walk to river as some routes are closed. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the old town, cable car and boat departures.
