Without a car, good location

Visited for one night while on a brief trip around Germany. Location is good if you’re sans car, 15 minute walk to train station and about 10 minutes to parts of Old Town. Grocery store is nearby if needed and some coffee shops too and a delicious bakery. I did not purchase food, drink or breakfast on-site because it was a short visit. Check in is at 3pm and not before but there is free, locked luggage storage. Check out is at 12pm which is delightful. Staff was nice but hit or miss depending who you got. My only real complaint with this hotel is the room shabbiness. I’ve stayed at a few other Mercure locations and none were as shabby of rooms. The lobby is sleek and modern and the rooms are a 90 degree turn. There was a lot of visible damage from past guests all over the room. And the bathroom tub wouldn’t drain so I was in standing water up to my ankles. But it had the most comfortable bed and pillows of my trip and WiFi was good. I would not recommend it or stay again without a really good nightly deal. I’ve stayed at a small handful of other Mercure locations and the

Good location if you're going to the convention centre and close to the city centre. Breakfest was delicious and staff was nice.

Good location but old rooms

It is declared a 4-star hotel. The lobby, restaurant, and breakfast area are good, but the rooms are old—I mean really old—and the carpet is dead, to say the least. I stay there due to the location, but room Renovation is a must. It has been promised for years, but I cannot see any progress at all.

Underwhelming for 4 Stars

As many others have mentioned, the decor once you get to the room floors are very outdated. The main floor entrance, bar, breakfast area is quite nice but the remainder of the hotel does not meet that same standard. Breakfast was not included in our stay price of almost 150 Euros per day. It was an additional 24 Euros on top of this value. It was good but certainly not worth that price. After we found this out the first day we took our business elsewhere.

The Hotel is in walking distance from the main train station and easy to reach by Bus as well. The staff is generally very helpfull and friendly. The highlight I found on this stay was the Finnish Sauna. Special thanks to the ladies on deck: Jana Faldnstein (Front Desk) Karina Nesterova ( Front Desk) Celine Babinski for handling and managing my bookings! Rooms, Breakfast and even the Mini Bar in included and gets refilled daily. Good business Hotel
