Overall, everything was fine – the staff were very friendly, the rooms were as expected, no big surprises. However, there are a few BUTs. The hotel’s location isn’t great, accessibility is not ideal, and the surrounding area isn’t very pleasant. Because of that, you’d expect the hotel’s facilities to make up for it — but they don’t. The equipment is really outdated, everything is quite worn out, the color combinations feel straight from the early 2000s, and some parts of the hotel simply can’t be cleaned anymore, they’re just shabby. For example, the gym feels completely stuck in another decade. When I travel "out of town", I want to enjoy the stay, but here there’s not much to enjoy. Even at the entrance, there’s a sign saying that renovations are in progress, but that sign itself looks quite old — so it’s hard to believe. I wouldn’t stay here again, even though the stay was fine overall and the place is okay just for a night’s sleep.

We do have plans to improve many areas of the hotel, including the common spaces and the gym, but this needs to be done in a way that doesn't disrupt the overall stay. A warm welcome and excellent staff throughout. The room was clan but needs some obvious maintenance. The rereading light on the desk did not work. Th electrical socket under the TV for use at the desk was in a dangerous condition. Hard to plug into and when you tried to pull the plug out the front of the socket cam with it exposing the wires.
