Room was damp and had an unpleasant odour. Blinds stained, bathroom exhaust fan broken and only one light working. This was reported to reception on day 1 of our 4 day stay. No visit from maintenance or feedback. Extremely disappointing for celebrating birthday and Mother’s Day weekend.

Sorry to say that the service was not exceptional. Started with a 20 minute wait to check in, needing to ask three times about our coffee machine which didn’t work to finally being told there wasn’t another working machine available. Needing to ask twice for an additional blanket. The heated pool, not heated. Poor information about local amenities available. No information in the rooms about ANYTHING. No hotel basics, pen, paper? All staff at the reception desk seemed either really inexperienced or just under the pump. Really not good enough on sooo many levels. Such a shame because it’s great facility

We always believed Peppers was a 4 -5 star experience. It was maybe up to a 3. Firstly I will compliment the staff we dealt with, reception, etc. They were very good, it was the hotel that let them down. Check in was supposed to be 2pm, we could not get into our room until 3pm. We were also informed on check in, that our rate did not include servicing the room, the Eco Rate We bought our accommodation through Luxury Escapes and at no time were we informed of this before check in. We had a three night stay, and feel the Eco rate is false economy. Without any adequate cleaning cloths, it is impossible to clean the room ourselves, and by not cleaning the room daily ( we didn't need change of linen) it takes longer to fully clean rooms on check out, hence the extra hour before our room was ready on check in. The rooms are in desperate need of a refurbishment, there was quite a decent size patch of carpet in one corner of our room that was rubbed bare. Another problem was the fire alarm went off about 3am one morning. There was no fire escape plan on the door, which we feel does not meet legal requirements, the alarm kept on ringing for nearly 30 mins until final a recorded voice came over the intercom that it was being executed, and probably another 20 mins or so, before the all clear was given. Not all people came out of rooms, but those of us who had were just milling around on balconies, waiting for further instruction. We had been looking forward to this holiday because of the reputation of Peppers, however, after our experience of this hotel, we will definitely not be recommending it to any of our friends, unless they do some serious refurbishment etc.

Lovely weekend staycation

A comfortable and relaxing weekend stay for our anniversary. Beautiful pools and extremely close to the beach and restaurants. We were so pleased to dine at the reopened Season restaurant and it was excellent.

Not impressed. definitely not 4 -5 star accommodation. Needs serious refurbishment. Fire alarm went off at 3am, no instruction panel on doors, people milling around not knowing what to do. Servicing room not included, unless pay an extra fee.
