The hotel is under major renovation, no lobby, no real dinning room, no proper reception desk, no one told us!!!! It is a positive move to renovate the outdated place… but the minimum should be to advise the clients prior to the booking! Regarding the rooms, they are very out dated.

Despite the renovation going on, we heard no noise of any kind during our stay. The rooms are super clean and comfortable, although in need of some updates (built-in phone charges for iPhone 8!!), but still a hotel far above the rest.

At arrival was told that we had a superior room. It was tiny and far from superior. Should be noted as a 2 or at best 3 star hotel.

Well situated, friendly service - fully understand the need for renovation, but a 5-Star without bar or restaurant is not a 5-Star and thus should be lowered in price. I can't understand that the phantastic Novotel in Ottawa cost less than this Sofitel under repairs.
