Had a great stay at the Movenpick hotel in Gouna Very clean, friendly staff especially the hostess Zainab. Pool, beach and lakes are great. Was a great getaway place and we enjoyed it very much It was such a great experience and this is such an amazing hotel.

Good Grounds, but......

The grounds of the resort are excellent and very well kept with gardeners constantly tending. The rooms are OK, but probably in need of refreshing. The main buffet dining is ok, but rather repetitive. There is one a la carte restaurant available to All Inclusive (AI) guests, but if you want any of the others you have to pay, with credit almost enough to get you a bowl of soup, but no more. There seems to be unnecessary bureaucracy for AI guests having to provide their room number to get a drink from the bar, despite having the AI wristband, which is quite tedious. There is a minibar in the room, but again for AI, it's just soft drinks and beer, NOT the crisps. You can have ice cream at the pool, but NOT the premium variety. All this seems a little petty.

Had a great week at Movenpick, spent most of our time at Lagoon pool and restaurant beach area. Much less busy and a perfect lagoon which had good with for swimming. Mahmoud Assi in particular was a great member of staff, very attentive, welcoming and good to chat with. The one thing I would say if you’re considering half or full board that El Gouna as really great food options and definitely better than the buffet restaurant that is included. Another thing to note is that the sauna is not included in price just the pools. For this reason I have given 4 instead of 5 star.

I spent my vacation in this hotel between 30.08-06.09, with all inclusive. A wonderful place with fabulous views. The water is clean, the entrance is smooth, in the sea area, the water is not deep, perfect for children, and in the lagoon area you can swim. Clean everywhere: rooms, restaurants, shared bathrooms. The staff is very polite and responsive to all our requests. Many green spaces, entertainment every evening with different themes, spa area with gym. The food was very tasty, but always the same, poor as variety. However, every day there was something new. A big plus: this resort pays great attention to maintaining a clean environment, you will not see plastic: bottles, spoons, cups; the water is bottled in glass bottles. The resort has green star. Here I have to tell a comical situation. When my husband saw a single star, he thought that the hotel had only one star, not 5*, and he was outraged, he was even angry. As a matter of fact, the hotel reception does not indicate a 5* hotel, the doors are tattered, look deplorable. I don't understand why you don't pay attention to this place which you have contact for the first time. There is a big difference between the reception and the rest of the hotel. Sin. Now a remark to the people at the reception: my husband was really scared that he ended up in a terrible place, not that he is a dangerous person as you sent the word all over the resort and that we need to be monitored. It is a beautiful, relaxing place, no matter where you stay in the resort, you are close to any utility.

They were very friendly people, everywhere they were served and greeted. The Lagoon Pool is by far the largest with a fantastic view and the restaurant is so beautiful and super delicious. We'll come back, that's what I call vacation. We‘re love Möbenpick El Gouna!
