Anonymous Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

Compared to other Mercure hotels I have visited, such as Tokyo and Takayama, this one in Tonami is truly disappointing. It appears that they have merely renamed an old Japanese hotel as Mercure, resulting in a somewhat inauthentic feel. I had anticipated a certain level of quality and service, based on my experiences in Tokyo and Takayama. I would suggest considering a renaming of the Tonami hotel to avoid raising false expectations among travelers

1. Great hotel even though the rooms are slightly aged. 2. Great buffet breakfast selection that is typically of onsen resorts unlike other mercure hotels. 3. Rooms are very big but design slightly dated but our family felt that the rooms are very big and comfortable and clean. My family was very happy.

Air conditioner wasn’t working. Rooms very old and not how the photo showed and described about how it was redecorated. Staff couldn’t speck English so it was rather difficult hard to communicate.
