Everything was great about the property - from service to rooms to amenities it was proper 4 star, in my country this hotel could get away being over 5 star. Only once did I have to ask for better cleaning and was met with utmost regard to my concern. All other requests at front desk were fulfilled timely and properly. I must commend Roy here at the breakfast area for being one of the best service person including all the front desk staff they were exceptional. The only thing and this is my 2nd experience at a Accor property the first being Swissotel Makkah, they really blast the AC’s to full in breakfast area thankfully there was a outdoor seating at breakfast area to resolve this situation in this hotel. But I have a feeling now and I could be wrong that Accor does this to get you out of the breakfast hall quickly, 18c degree AC setup in the morning is unnecessary, we were pleasantly comfortable at 24c in our rooms. I hope the property is considerate of this, and this is my only qualm with the property. Areas for improvement could be following the holiday inn express breakfast model at phuket, where takeaways are possible and breakfast utilization could be done as many times, this would really make this property unparalleled in this area. The kids loved the pool, the timings for the pool were one of the best I have ever experienced at any hotel and the footballs in the pool for the kids and the kids club were all small touches that made this my best stay in langkawi. I must also commend the free parking, the accessibility to the best langkawi has to offer, overall lack of stinginess, cleanliness and I could write on and on about the positives but hope anyone who reads this gets the jist. Just book a room and you won’t regret it.

Always feel like home when staying in Mercure. They really take care of me whenever I return. Huge shout out to Murni Maas the Rooms Division Manager who always go all out to welcome me every time. The bar is the nice place to chill out and having some drinks with a lovely music
