Well everything I had read on reviews was unfortunately true . We arrived around 2.30 and there was nothing open for us to grab a drink or food . The supermarket around the corner must be its busy time of day as we all find ourselves in there . But the takeaway part shut at 2pm ? Shop was closed at hotel for restock that day , another day the bar was shut after a big day out ! The room I just don’t look close the bed was clean phew , the shower curtain not or floors and wardrobe smelt ! I would add the staff were trying there hardest which they were understaffed, we got the Buffett one day and it was closed the other 2 . It surprised me how the standard of food was amazing but expensive and the room below average . Don’t stay here if your a room snob we had done our research so wasn’t expecting great things . I think it must be very hard to run a hotel this size in such a remote area which is a stunning part of the world ! Hence laughable

Good place to stay, especially the shape of the hotel. The facilities at the hotel were very good. The restaurant with food and service was very good. The room service was prompt. There were two daddy long legs spiders with webs on the ceiling - that was cleaned instantly when reported. The bathroom does not have an exhaust. All other amenities were there in the room. The room cleaning service the next day was very good.

On arrival the reception was not exactly welcoming. It seemed to be a chore for the receptionist to book us in. We arrived just after 2pm on a Sunday and were really tired and hungry . There were people in the dining room still eating and we were told the kitchen was closed. We said we would be happy with a bowl of hot chips. Staff just stood there and said sorry we can’t help you. We were told we could get a Pkt of chips from the gift store. It would have been good to know this on arrival or better still when we made the booking (direct) . Everything in town was closed on a Sunday. The rooms are clean but really tired . Our bathroom was mouldy . We went to the pool where there was a group of girls eating greasy fish n chips while they were “in” the pool . Needless to say I did not enjoy swimming through the oil and lettuce slick .. staff should have asked them to get out of the pool while they were eating … it was more like a backpackers . The pool is tiny so there was no getting away. I hope it gets better throughout our stay.
