The Pullman has that Old Charm feel, with the high Pillars in the Foyer and the Balconies. The Room as nice and as the Pullman is a little old they need a Reno. I still think they are Value compared to Modern Hotels in the area which are very sterile. My only compliant was that we decided not to go out and we tried the Restaurant Cocco's on Saturday night. Very poor and not worth the $50 per person. I would still go back and stay.

Stayed with 2 children in September holidays and for the most part it's good. If the outside was repainted it would look a million times better. Renovated rooms are clean and spacious with everything you need. Daily room clean is excellent. Breakfast is very good, fresh omelettes are the best. Lobby areas are mostly nice, beautiful big windows and open space - however the sofas at the front door need cleaned or replaced - the first thing you see when you walk in the door is dirty sofas. Balconies are large but don't have enough furniture to make use of them. Pool are is large but is the main thing letting the place down for families - it seems half renovated, where the gardens around the pool are nice but the pool itself needs retiled and refurbished. Some parts are a bit hazardous for childrens feet. Nice spa in the pool area. There is pool bars and signs telling you they're open at the weekends but they weren't open at all, even in school holidays. Location is on the edge of town so not as great as some of the other hotels. Spa is absolutely wonderful, lovely set up and beautiful treatments. Staff are all very pleasant and helpful.

I stayed at the Pullman for a week long conference. Before booking I did not realize this is two hotels in one. Initially I was in an unrenovated room. Carpet was filthy and stained, furniture was falling apart. Walls also filthy with chipped paint. The balcony door had no insulation so rattled in the wind. No sleep all night because the plumbing rattled and banged the walls any time someone turned on their water. And bugs crawling in the coffee service. After a sleepless night I felt scammed. How could this be a five star hotel? I read Trip Advisor (at around 3am because I was not sleeping!) The comments had many positive reviews from refurbished rooms, and also a few commented to avoid the top floors that were not renovated. Clearly I had made a terrible mistake not reading reviews before booking. I went to the front desk around 5:30am and was told I could speak with the manager at 7am. They were able to move me to a renovated room. It was like moving into a new hotel. Beautiful bathroom, well appointed, comfortable bed. And robes ! (No robes in my previous room.) It is as if the unrenovated rooms are completely forgotten. I don’t understand how the hotel can keep them open for unsuspecting travelers. Giving 4 stars because the new rooms are beautiful and staff are excellent. (I would have given one star had I stayed in that first terrible room.)

Compared to other Pullman hotels this venue is not up to the mark. Hotel is too old and rooms need a renovations.

We went to the Seafood Buffet on Saturday night to celebrate a birthday and it was magnificent. Fresh prawns, crab and the barra was melt in your mouth. The selections in the hot food were varied and prepared to perfection. The pork belly was a stand out. To finish our meal, we visited the dessert bar, and were tempted by the panna cotta and gnash.
