Great hotel. Amazing buffet breakfast and healthy options for dinner were available. Wonderful views over Nadi. Though there was a lot of sugar cane being burned whilst we were there - so sitting on our balcony was limited. Friendly staff. Organizing taxis etc is on 'Fiji time' - so they can run late... The resort was a little dated and could do with a make over - however the room was comfy, secure and clean. Security guards on site 24/7 - which did make me wonder about how safe Fiji is overall. The room was cleaned each day. Air conditioning worked a treat. Comfy bed and pillows [always a must!!].

Disappointed stay at Novotel Nadi

My stay at the Novotel Nadi was a total disappointment. The hotel is an old establishment and has seen better days. The lobby chairs needs to be replaced. The room facilities looks old and worn. My aircon was leaking when we entered, the shower head was broken and needed to be changed. The cleaning staff didn’t even bother to clean our wine glasses. We had to ask for drinking water repeatedly. The only saving grace were their reception staff who were friendly and helpful. This hotel was Not as I have expected from a Novotel hotel chain.

We acknowledge that the hotel is older and is now ready for an upgrade - the good news being that the owners of the Hotel are working on these plans having almost finished refurbishing Novotel Suva – which is now looking fantastic. This work is likely to see some areas totally rebuilt and others totally refurbished which is very exciting and will no doubt have a huge impact on our guests sentiment about our classic hotel. It is disappointing to hear that the room you were in had some maintenance issues - since starting at the hotel about 6 weeks ago I have been getting the team to focus on the areas that we can control - cleanliness and maintenance of day to day items. Where possible they have been doing this so its a shame that these items have not been done yet – I have forwarded your comments on to the team for them to prioritise getting them fixed. We apologise that the hotel was not as we would want it to be for our guests but as mentioned your comments will be shared and will be actioned on to ensure we deal with the issues raised. We do hope that you had an enjoyable trip to Fiji and that at some stage in the future you may come back to see the results of the efforts we are making now. Regards Jim Moore General Manager

2 nights in total either side of our holiday. Never again. Positives: Professional and helpful staff. Nice view from restaurant. Pleasant outdoor pool. Nice towels at pool and in room. Negatives: Bathrooms need to be totally gutted. Mouldy tiles. Water from shower escapes across floor. Toilet seat about to come off. Bathroom sink in too high kitchen bench which was old and worn. Bathroom sink in second stay was broken. On second stay safe was broken and located too high to use. Room lighting dim. Ceiling fan switch broken resulting in cold night sleep as not able to turn off. Couch cushions so worn & flattened the threads were visible. Staff should be paid a resilience allowance as must have to placate lots of guests. No way close to a Novotel standard.

overall a nice tidy place, rooms clean, greatly disappointed with the restaurant, first night we stayed, they got 3 orders wrong and one never turned up, excuse was that the paper work for the orders got mixed up, we returned a week later after a trip and decided to try again, waited over an hour for drinks, one did not arrive, after 2 hours the food had not arrived, same excuse, many other also very upset at the poor service, we gave up and walked out refusing to pay the bill, some staff helpful but most did not care, we will never stay here again, a great pity, needs a real shake up of the management

It is obvious from your feedback that the hotel's usual high service standards were not met. I can assure you that the hotel prides itself on its level of service, and to hear that we have fallen short on this occasion is very disappointing. Our Food and Beverage Manager has been notified of the concerns highlighted with the absolute desire to eliminate such experiences and to promote and deliver positive guest stay experiences.
