reception staff not very helpful, any request was handled with unhelpful replies, tried to ask with assistance for airport bus, but it seems the question with time table was to hard to be helpful. However not the first time that the reception staff behave in this manner at this hotel, all other staff were most helpful.

Good stay for people .. However cleanliness should improve and standard should be maintained all the time. Overall it came be recommended to everyone. The hotel has wonderful staff who are friendly and helpful. Thank you for your kind service

I have stayed here many times and it is always the same. Friendly checkin and out, comfortable good sized room , comfortable bed. Don't enjoy the wine on offer though, could really do with some better quality.

Dirty, grubby, cleanliness at an all time low! Understood this is budget accommodation, unbelievable that Mercure have their brand attached to this facility. Pool has a rim of grime around it, I wish I could attach a photo of the linen 🤮

This hotel is one of the worst run hotel in the Accor chain.Staff at reception although helpful do not know their jobs.Bar and restaurant staff are not up to standard.I am a platinum member but I get charged for breakfast everytime.Have to waste my time arguing with reception.This happens every time I stay here.They don't seem to learn

We picked the Mercure for an overnight stay on our way back home. Initially they were helpful in storing our luggage while we waited for our room to be ready and we went to the airport to see off other family members. When we returned we were told that we had only booked one room, which on my booking detailsI had definitely booked 2 rooms. We got 2 rooms but these were far apart. When I went to buy a drink from the bar, I was told to pay cash as we had declined to leave a credit card with reception when we arrived, which was absolutely not true. We were never asked about this when we checked in. I gave the bar worker $20 for chips and a coke- she never came back to me with change or to show that the full cost was $20. Our room was OK- probably less than I would expect for 3 star. The sliding door on the bathroom was completely off the slider so we could not close the door. Some of the staff were really professional and helpful especially the man on the desk who helped us in finding a medical clinic open on a Saturday.Others really did not do the establishment or their country proud. As a paying member to the ACCOR group I was disappointed. Would not stay here again.

Fun in Fiji

My only negative comment was watching the pool guy clean the pool with a aluminium extension pole and whilst having one end in the water the other was hitting the 240V coloured lights above the pool. Yes the lights were on and while there was no one in the pool I would not like to rely on earth leakage if its installed. I raised this with staff but was not sure they understood the ramifications.

Disappointing

Mercure in Australia has a fair standard but this one in Nadi was very poor. Shower leaked and there was water on the bathroom floor. Despite mentioning to Hotel, it was not fixed. Couldn't open door to room two nights. Food was very basic and cold. Staff were very kind and friendly.

Very disappointing

Extremely disappointing, we had booked downstairs rooms, with no stairs, we get there and find that one our rooms was upstairs, after complaining we were given two downstairs rooms, bed was long past its use by date with springs sticking into to you as you moved and worst of all the food was just terrible, my prawn entrée was so small, 5 prawns less than an inch long, main was cold and my desert had mould on the bottom of it. As Accor group members We felt that it was a disaster, rooms desperately need an update , mirrors, floors, no flyscreen on door and most IMPORTANTLY BEDS, when you sit on a bed and it squeaks and springs pop up then something needs to be done

Short Stay

The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants, a supermarket and the local bus into Nadi and represents good value. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We had two rooms and the air conditioning in one room was great while in the other room it was struggling to cool the room so the pedestal fan was a great saver . The TV in one room was unwatchable due to distorted sound, very limited channel selection and poor picture quality. The hotel is showing its age, the level of maintenance needs improving (the toilet cistern in one room was running continuously) as does the cleanliness of the rooms (the tiles are not very clean). We always stay at the Mercure Nadi for a few nights at the start and end of our holiday in Fiji but we have noticed that the standard of the hotel has been slipping over the years.

I booked for 4nights in October for our little honeymoon getaway from 20 Dec to 24 Dec 2018 with my husband and son. Upon arrival at 2am in the morning (flight arrived at 12am), we were referred to room 128 and the air con in the room didn't work. We called the reception and she referred us to another room in the 2nd floor. We went there and there was only one (1) queen size bed yet i booked for the 2 queen size bed room for me, my husband and my son (2adults, 1child). Luckily, my son came late up to Nadi to meet us so that there was only two of us and the one queen size bed was sufficient at the time especially because we were both so tired. The next day, they referred us to another room not far from this one we slept in and although it had two beds, it was hot, the air con was working but it was not cool at all, to compensate - they provided an electric fan to help cool the room because it was 27degrees outside and this room was super hot like running on 22degrees. In the night, it was a bit cooler but we still felt the heat from the day, so I called the bar services and asked for a bucket of ice. The girl said they will charge the normal room service fee for bringing the bucket of ice up, which i said was okay and if they could just charge it to the room and we will pay when we check out . However, they refused and said i had to pay cash to the girl bringing the bucket of ice up, i asked why and they said because i already paid for my room in cash and therefore, i need to pay in cash for the room service fee. When i refused and told them i dont have cash on me at the time because i will have to go to the ATM the next day to withdraw money, they refused to bring the bucket of ice to my room and told me to come down to the bar and pick it up myself. Never in my travelling life have i come across such poor attitude from staff members of a hotel like this - no hospitality and no courtesy. I am never staying in this hotel anymore when i go to Nadi.

The worst Family Stay ever

I book this hotel from the 09/12/18 - 12/12/18 way out in advance with all expenses paid. Only for my family to arrived at the hotel after some Fiji Airways delayed the reception a Ms Priti said to my wife and two kids at 800 pm they could not stay at the hotel, as our booking had been rejected in their computer system because the payment had not gone through even thought my wife showed her our booking itinerary all were fully paid.With that Ms Priti said to my wife to call me overseas to send my bank statement that the payment had gone thru and only than they will be allow into the room.Luckily there was a fijian gentleman who that time came into the counter and said its was OKAY, they will sort it in the morning. All this was done in front of my two kids and they were traumatized by the whole incident that my small daughter, refused to go for breakfast the next morning. And during breakfast my son thinking of her small sister wanted to take juice to her but was stopped by the Chef a Mr Ashok that he was not allowed and the way he scolded my son, got my wife so angry on the unprofessional conduct of the staff during their stay.Calling from overseas I told my wife to sort our the accommodation expenses and checking at the front counter that morning, the staff informed her everything was okay in the computer system and all was already paid for. This has been my third review of this hotel and all the time I have expressed my disappointment on the CUSTOMER SERVICE and I seen nothing has improved and THE SERVICE IS GETTING FROM BAD TO WORST.I am really VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED on the way my family was treated specially as GOLD CLUB MEMBER. The reason I have always book this hotel was my two kid were always wanted to be near their grandparents in the west and the hotel was always very convenience .This incident have made me think twice of any future stay at this hotel and my kids have convinced me not book this hotel again.In my future Trip Advisor review I WILL STRONGLY RECOMMEND TO OTHERS AND MY FRIENDS NOT TO STAY at this hotel.My word of advise look after visitors FIRST EXPRESSION LAST.GOLD CLUB MEMBER.

We stayed at the Mercure for a week mid October. It was very nice. We were handy enough to walk to Nadi town (about 1/2 hour brisk walk). We would stay again if the occasion arose. We were on the free breakfast which was sufficient. We didn't use the travel agent situated in the hotel as she was quoting too expensive for us but got a good agent in town who orgainised us a trip to the thermal/mud pool area.

Plane arrived 1 hour late. On arrival 1 room on 3rd floor and the other on ground floor. We had children with us and this was simply not acceptable especially as these rooms were booked several months in advance. Didn't stay for breakfast, flies over everything and no gluten free/ lactose free options. Had to park van in over-flow field as no car packing available. Glad to have a place to lay our head. Comfortable bed and no plane noise experienced nor street traffic.

The staff are very friendly, an early check in was very nice . The room was nice and clean. The only minus was the drinks were expensive even the mini mart was over priced when a short walk to the left is a big super market with cheap drinks.

We had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. The staff is always friendly and helpful. A few maintenance need to be attended but otherwise our room was comfortable and clean. All amenities close by...just a walking distance.
