Great location, but getting tired

I was here for a conference. The location is amazing and had a great waterfront room. The rooms were not bad but the place feels like it needs a good renovation, particularly the corridors which need a paint, carpet feels like it needs a steam clean and the general vibe feels dated. Good stay for convenient location.

Oceanview queen rooms with balcony. Good - room spacious, bed comfortable, view great, location great. Bad - no in room complimentary water, wifi very expensive, parking expensive, tired decor, aircon outdated and really drying, need humidifiers, no smart tvs for streaming. We were here for my daughter’s wedding which was across the street, she booked for our family and bridal party a year ago. We checked in earlier as staying 4 nights and check in smooth. All rooms booked were the same, oceanview queen with balcony. And all on the same floor. When the rest of the wedding party came the next day, check in staff tried to give them rooms with no balcony. And the guy at reception was quite rude. When we could prove that balconies were paid for and if weren’t received that we would be asking for a refund of the extra money, suddenly they could find the balcony rooms. There was a corporate function on the same time and I got the impression that they were catered to more. Obviously that is the money maker and because our wedding wasn’t on site care factor was zero. Honestly, for the money that it cost me ( over $1400 for 4 nights), I wouldn’t stay here again. Amenities in hotel are good but the rooms are tired, need updating and all the extras should be included, like free wifi. Bar staff were friendly and helpful.

Hotel hosts private events, right outside your room. Stayed with kids, loud music went until late, kids couldn’t sleep, rang reception, hotel didn’t care, nothing they could do apparently. I would understand if we were staying in rooms above a pub or a nightclub but we paid top dollar to stay at a nice hotel and this was like being in the nightclub. Cost a fortune, not happy.

لم يتم إعطائي الخروج المتأخر من الساعة ٥ مساء وتم ترقيتي الي غرفة لا يعمل فيها التكييف بشكل جيد ولم انم نهائياً وايضاً شرفة الغرفة كانت تحدث ضجيج كبير ولم يجعلني اشعر بالراحة عند النوم

Happy Stay

Happy stay . Originally booked for 1 night . On the first night the local electricity grid shut down to delay check in and loss of electricity in the hotel including the lifts . We stayed on the 10 th floor .Marooned in the room for over 3 hours from about 6.30 pm . No fault of the Hotel . Next morning ( Saturday 25/05/24 ) spoke with the Duty Manager Jan ( I hope I spelt his name right ,) who was excellent . He remedied our issues and we stayed another night and fully enjoyed our time with our 2 young grand children whom we came to visit after travelling for about 2 hours . Thank you to the Duty Manager and Novotel . We will return and stay again .
