When traveling from the states I do wish I could have better directions arriving from Union Station, upon arrival the people at the station called the hotel as were given directions for me to take a train to a stop Bloor I believe and from there take an Uber, I decided to take other directions that were better and took one train to the stop. Make it easier to contact once you are in your room I had to let it ring forever! Put directions in bathroom for the shower works had to have engineer to come and show me! All of the workers were quite pleasant no complaints regarding them, room was clean, good hotel.

Late being able to check in. Called to reception with a question with no reply. Power outage suggested help if checking out called no reply so two people in our late 70’s took our luggage down 18 floors.

Booking was not ready

I had a bad experience with this booking. I sent an email to reserve a double room on May 16, and while I got a reply saying that the room was booked and a confirmation will be sent, to my surprise, the booking has not been done and when I arrived there was no room ready for me. While I can say that the lady at the counter was able to find me a room on the spot, this issue caused the room rate to be different, being higher than the one I initially expected. Moreover, there was no clear explanation provided to me why the booking was not done, and the only answer I got back was from the assistant at the counter was "How will I know". I do expect them to know why the problem emerged to help me avoid it in the future. I travel regularly to Toronto for business, but I am reconsidering choosing novotel as my hotel of stay because of this issue.
