Our Basalt Restaurant & Bar is open for dinner 5 nights per week, Monday to Saturday from 5.30 PM, with last orders by 8.30 PM The seasonally changing menu includes the finest local produce from the South West and our attentive service is second to none.

Excellent location opposite the beach front and 1 min from central town

Everyone is very friendly and happy to help. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Location is easy and central to beach front and city. The only slight negative was the bathroom shower curtain was stained and brown shower was not clean with hair shavings in shower.

My wife and I arrived on Sunday 11th Feb, we had booked an executive room. The room was smaller than expected (from pictures on website), The alcove area had no shade whatsoever. This was somewhat rectified buy one of the staff, who went out of his way to provide an umbrella (tied to a post). The carpet in the room, may have been cleen, but it was terribly stained. So both wanting and needing a holiday (I am a carer for my wife)we also needed some quite time so decided to stay. Then the workmen started, again the next day at 0755 the work started again, more intense than the day before. I then asked to book out and to see the Manager. One of the staff saw the Manager and agreed to refund the next four days. I advised the receptionist; I also wanted a refund on the night we had spent there, again the Manager not only refused to see me, but also refused my request. Almost forgot to mention, the presence of large flying cockroaches (3) in room. All in all the only pleasant thing, was the staff, but obviously not the Manager, who chose not to show and deal with the situation. I rated 2 only because of the staff prevented a 1. In addition to the above, the restaurant would have only been available for two days of our stay (we were invited to a Valentine's day event), however that would have not been possible due to my wife's health. Finally and of most importance we were NOT aware of any reservations being done prior to our arrival.

We spent a weekend at the Mantra Bunbury celebrating our Anniversary. The accommodation was quite nice but we were disappointed that the tv was not a smart tv. It may seem a small thing but I had purposely arranged connection to streaming apps so that my husband and I could enjoy watching some movies together. This is something that we don't normally do together at home. Often when we holiday in our caravan we enjoy watching DVDs. I think the Hotel should either supply a DVD machine or access to streaming. We enjoyed spending time in the spa but found the pool was a bit cool for us. The only other suggestion I have would be that the outside lights are turned off or be motion sensored, as the light did filter into our room a bit
