Hotel checkin: We checking very late due to domestic flight cancellations and before coming we also informed the reception staff. When we reached we got to know they had cancelled our booking because they assumed we would not showup. We had few ours left before checkout as we have to take international flight. The whole process and checking took sometime. Security alarm: Later there was emergency evacuation alarm that disturbed our sleep and we considered it as genuine alarm and rush out. Later we identified it as a fake one which is continuously buzzing. We asked on reception to atleast inform us so that we shudnt have rushed ourselves. Then we had to wait since lifts were also not working and we were late for international flight. Food: Food in the buffet has very limited options and tasted very avg. Basic coffee and tea tasted awful. Had tasted one chicken item that taste so bad that i had to spit it out. Overall I was there for few hours but experience turned out to be very bad.

Everything was perfekt. The room, rooftop bar, breakfast. Nice swimming pool. The staff (all of them) helpfull, polite and very frendly.

The Kathmandu Mercure is a relaxing oasis in the bustle and chaos that is Kathmandu. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The rooms and appointments are luxurious, the pool and Spa treatments are also relaxing. Dining at Dyne or the Sukra bar is just nice with a wide range of drinks and foods.
