Locating this hotel is not easy. One entrance is at the back lane and another entrance is like a maze and we felt like we have entered Batcave. The hotel really took their black theme seriously. Everything in the room is black! The cups, the spoons, the shower, the taps, the (one and only) wall hook, the blinds and even the hair dryer is black! Warm lighting and limited lighting makes it feels even more like a cave. The setback of this newly opened (December 2022) hotel - they don't provide drinking water on a daily basis. Only once (2 bottles on 1st day). They don't have any international power point and international adapter is available at the front desk with a refundable deposit of ¥1000. The metal hangers provided are too small which can give a "horn shoulder" result on some clothes. The sink is just beside the bed ! Location of the hotel is good. Walking distance to the shopping street. It also offers free flow of hotel amenities, i.e. razor, bath sponge, facial cotton, cotton buds, etc. Remember to collect them at the lobby. Breakfast is decent and guess what is the color of their plates?

立地が断然良い場所。周辺にはたこ焼き、お好み焼き、豚まんなどの大阪ローカルフード、コンビニ、100円ショップなど、なんでもあり、飲む、遊ぶ、ショッピングに一切、困らない。アコー会員だと、カクテル、スパークリングワイン、日本酒などウェルカムドリンクをグラブ&ゴーで貰えて良かった。また、朝食のクロワッサンは焼きたて、サクサクで絶品、３つ程食べてしまいました。

Mercure Tokyu Stay Osaka Namba is a new hotel, which opened some 3 weeks ago. The main gripes I have is that the design of the hotel especially the room I stayed in is very dark, and the wash sink area tends to accumulate water very easily. We stayed in a deluxe twin room but we found it so dark even with all the lights (more like spotlights) due to the design. The wall-mounted hotel phone was of some color as the wall. It was difficult to find stuff should one drops it on the floor. The sink area which doubles as a counter table tends to easily accumulate water, as we noticed a lot of dried water stains around the sink. The hangers are a bit of an issue and always falls down given the design - a triangle with a gap. Other than that, the room was comfortable. Laundry machines are located on the 15th floor but requires a pass to use it (max 3 passes at a time, with time limit of 3 hours).

新しいだけあってきれいですが、部屋は狭め 洗面が小さすぎて、顔を洗うのが大変 （朝夜シャワー浴びるなら問題なし） シャンプー、コンディショナー、ボディーソーブなどは部屋に備え付けのものがあるが、カミソリやスポンジなどはフロントの正面にあるものを必要に応じて部屋に持っていくシステム バーコーナーには箕面ビールなどのクラフトビールが冷蔵庫においてあり、品揃えはよい 夜間、騒ぐ若者が多く、御堂筋を暴走族？（今どき？）が走り回りうるさい 斜め見向かいにFamilyMart、御堂筋はさんでセブン-イレブンがあり便利 心斎橋と難波の中間くらいで、どちらにも徒歩圏内

All staff were friendly. But it’s not soundproofed well. The crazy kids in next room were really noisy for two nights. They kept screaming at the top of their lung and stomped their feet continuously from 11pm to 1am :) We couldn’t get asleep at all. I called front desk three times and explained the situation, but there was no response. The kids(and their parents) even got more and more noisy :) The most disappointing point is EVEN the staff didn’t check or call me if the problem was solved. The staff didn’t do anything. I don’t recommend this hotel if you have normal ears. 새벽 한시에 옆방 아이들과 함께 축구 구경하는 기분을 느끼고 싶다면 이 호텔을 추천합니다. 시끄럽다고 아무리 컴플레인해도 직원들은 어떤 조치도 취해주지 않을 것입니다. 직원들이 영어를 못 하는 문제가 아닙니다. 저 일본어 할줄 아는데도 문제가 해결되지 않았습니다. 방음이 정말 너무 안되고 호텔 측에서 소음에 따른 조치도 해주지 않기 때문에 잠은 옆방 운에 맡겨야 합니다. 옆방 언어 들어보면 동남아 쪽인 것 같은데 오픈 초와 달리 이제 동남아 가족패키지(아이동반) 엄청 많아요ㅠㅠ 제 옆방 부모들은 애들이 소리지르면 같이 깔깔 거리더라구요…
