Went over for the Christmas market where my son was singing with school and we were really impressed. Friendly welcome and a nice choice of drinks. Decided to treat ourselves to dessert and chose a lemon posset brought to us in person by friendly chef Shannon who explained how it was made. Absolutely delicious and it was lovely to get the personal touch from the chef. We’ll be back for a full meal very soon, thank you all for such a great welcome!

Fantastic, classy hotel in a great location

Fantastic hotel, great location - a really classy hotel in a perfect location, rooms were beautiful, everything you need and a very large comfy bed/pillows. However, the car park, not so good! We were pleased that you have electric charging points, but to our surprise, bar one space, the rest were filled with petrol/diesel cars! Not great when these are especially for electric cars. We did complain and were told that these individuals would get fines for parking here, I do hope that this was the case?? Despite no action being taken to move these cars out of the electric bays, we were offered parking in the IBIS hotel where a charger was free and was not being used by a car that didn't need electric! Thanks again to the hotel staff and the lovely lady at the IBIS for assisting us. We would recommend the Mercure and would love to return, but something does need to be done to ensure that these electric charging bays are only used for this purpose.

Stayed in better 2* hotels than this one, food burnt black so unrecognisable as a carrot or a parsnip, despite having a list they served my friend 3 times with food she's allergic to, never again will we stay here, and an email of complaint to the company we travelled with, of the 29 people on this trip not one was satisfied with the food or slow service.

The issues you’ve raised regarding burnt food and the repeated serving of items that your friend is allergic to are very concerning. We take guest safety, especially with dietary restrictions, very seriously, and I will be addressing this matter with the kitchen and service team to ensure it does not happen again. I understand how frustrating slow service can be, especially in a large group, and we will be reviewing our processes to improve efficiency and ensure a better experience for all guests. Sea views great room and super staff

We booked a sea facing privilege room and it was fabulous…super king bed was super comfy, great bed linen. Obviously the sea view was a plus just a shame it was a grey wet and wild morning!!! The reception team are really on it and very friendly, breakfast was buffet and pretty good… All in all a great hotel!!!

L'hotel è nuovo e ben arredato in stile moderno, perfetta la posizione sulla passeggiata della spiaggia, ma il servizio è tutto da rivedere!!! Disorganizzazione e personale giovane ed inesperto. Scarsa scelta nella colazione e nella cena. Da migliorare 😂
