SO/ Maldives 5 gwiazdki

Overall we rate our stay 4.1/5. We would come back if the negatives were addressed. It’s a beautiful resort and lagoon. We felt the attention to details were somewhat lacking although the staff tried to please. Positives - 15 min speedboat ride to resort from Male airport. - Rooms are modern, large and well designed. - Being able to ride bikes around is fun. - Beautiful turquoise shallow waters. The resort is beautiful. - Citronelle restaurant has a good variety and qualify of eastern and western food. - Nightly DJ - Friendly staff. Big thank you to our host Ahsan and for the attentive service by Luna and Araily, they made the place extra special. Negatives - Breakfast buffet needs a change of dishes over a 5 night stay. - Man made reef so not much sea life or coral. - Upon induction it should be explained men must cover shoulders at mealtimes at Citronelle restaurant. Which I found strange because women can expose their shoulders? - We bought a luxury escapes deal included with ether lunch or dinner but we were not told you had to choose lunch or dinner for your entire stay. You cannot have lunch one day and dinner the next as part of the deal. - Food and drink is expensive even my Maldivian standards. Buy a package. - There’s a DJ at night but it’s ho hum most nights. Maybe try varying the nightly entertainment. There was a fire show one night which was entertaining but not much else . - Importantly….My wife was run off the road while cycling at night by a resort buggy. The buggy did not have their lights on or give way. She was ok (in shock) but the next person may not be so lucky. Having buggy lights on at night should be mandatory for the safety of guests.

My husband and myself decided to book the SO/ Maldives resort for our honeymoon and it was truly the best decision we could’ve made. I cannot recommend this resort enough! 10/10! We had Ahsan as our butler and he made our trip go so smoothly and so amazing. He planned everything for us which was such a nice change from every day life. He responded immediately when I texted and always checked on us to make sure we were getting the best service, I know for a fact we gained a forever friend! He was so professional and hands down the hardest worker I’ve ever seen! All of the staff were top tier from front desk, to bartenders, to kitchen staff! The villas were also so spacious and clean I have no bad things to say about this resort! My review could be 10 pages. I know I can speak for myself and my husband when I say we cannot wait to come back just to visit the staff and see all of the best views again!

Our holiday was wonderful from the moment we arrived to or departure. Our GEM Ahsan was brilliant, he looked after our every need, gave us advice on how to make the most of our stay and made sure we had everything booked in. Rimon cleaned our room twice a day and we never needed to ask for anything as it was always taken care of. The island was pristine and the water was better than any photo. We loved our room and the pool, this was a bucket list experience. The island has a beautiful day spa and all the staff are amazing. I especially want to mention KC, she was so good at our daily massages! We loved bike riding around the island, it was all amazing!! Don’t think twice, just book it!!!!ii

It was a lovely and relaxing experience from start to finish. The location is excellent and close to everything, and the atmosphere is calm and peaceful. The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Our butler “Anna” was absolutely wonderful — she was very kind, supportive, and attentive. I was pregnant during our stay, and she truly made everything easier for me, always ensuring my comfort and well-being. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I would definitely consider coming back.

Amazing place! Excellent staff, very kind and friendly! Food is beyound great especially the Hadaba restaurant! Our beach villa was spotless every single day! Staff have thought of everything and each day we had great adventures. You definitely getting what you payed for. Overall amazing experience! Definitely recommend!
