To be honest, I’m deeply disappointed and dissatisfied with the service of Swissotel Wellness Resort Alatau Almaty.And that's why: 1) The hotel does not have a porter who could help you with heavy luggage.You drag him to the room yourself.But to my surprise, after 5 days of staying at the hotel, I saw the porter only on the day of the check out; 2) Housekeepers forgot to change bathrobes and towels for fresh ones a couple of times, forgot to replace hygiene products in the bathroom like toothbrushes and pastes, as well as razors.They leave the garbage where it stood.They also didn’t replace clean mugs and glasses in the first days, until I asked; 3) When you order food in the room, in addition to the ordered items, another dish is brought, although it wasn’t mentioned when placing the order; 4)Masseuses are unhappy, they don’t even deign to say hello in response and introduce themselves.I’d understand if this service was included in the room rate, however, the payment is separate for spa services, but you don’t get the proper attitude and respect. 5) Restaurants forget about the ordered items.It doesn't seem to be a full fit, only 2-3 tables are filled, but even under such circumstances, the order is brought for a long time.You ask for a blanket, you have to wait for 30-40 minutes freezing on the summer veranda, then go up to the waiter yourself and find out that there are no blankets left at all; 6) Lost my glasses, which were very important to me, it was a gift from my mother. The glasses were left in the bathrobe, and apparently the pockets weren’t checked during cleaning. For this, they extended my check-out from 12pm to 4pm + sent a fruit plate to the room; 7) After 5 days of staying at the hotel, at the time of the eviction, my friend was studying in the same building, it was supposed to end closer to night(We stayed in the same room together).I had to wait for her at the hotel, as it is far from the center.To which I asked the receptionist to give me the opportunity to wait for a friend in the spa area, to which I was refused saying "if you are checking out, you can’t be admitted to the spa area."There was no point in extending the hotel room, since my friend had only a couple of hours left before the end of her studies. I understand that all of the above are small things, but it all leaves a very unpleasant aftertaste during your vacation, when you check into a 5-star hotel and pay a lot of money for it. Unfortunately, 5 stars don’t correspond to reality, since employees make such basic mistakes.

В целом отель понравился, очень хороший завтрак и ужин, прекрасная территория, по которой приятно и полезно гулять. Отличный завтрак и обслуживающий персонал в ресторане. Однако в номере не все до конца отработано. Например, в душевой, когда включаешь воду, она стекает не только в специальный зазор в душе, но и полностью вытекает в коридор комнаты, а также, если не предпринять мер, вода может выйти за пределы номера, в коридор отеля. Розетка в душевой, тоже плохо сделана, поэтому вилку фена трудно вставить в розетку.

We have had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The room is beautiful, amenities of a very high standard, great food, really nice Spa facilities. But most of all, the Team that wraps around you is absolutely fantastic, they are professional, friendly, capable and ready to help with any question. Was here for a few days for a conference. The location is far from anything, which makes it good for having a conference. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, surrounded by green and mountains. It snowed while we were there. The hotel is big, and it is from Soviet times, but well-remade by Swissotel. The rooms have excellent views. The hotel is also nice and quiet. The bathrooms are a bit small and cramped. I like that they leave 2 big bottles of water for you everyday. Not small ones. You can also open your terrace door and walk out on your room terrace. This is nice. The breakfast was good. I would suggest fresh-squeezed juice options, but I liked the detox water a lot. The pizza was also very good for lunch. The conference went well. However, the conference rooms are airless and without windows or views. The sauna/steam room/hamam/pool is also excellent and well worth using. Overall, a good stay.
