We got a bus from the airport to about 5min walk away. Staff were helpful and let us store the bags until we could check in later. About 7 minute walk from center of town. It was clean and had a small swimming pool. Rooms were tiny. Good value. Had a bar and pool table. Average hotel in line with its price.

A disappointing stay in La Rochelle

A hotel which is difficult to locate and unfinished hotel-rooms, showing bare concrete walls and flooring. No carpet and there are no phones in the rooms. Expensive @ Euro 132.11 for 1 person for 1 night plus visitor tax. Very disappointing.certainly a budget hotel but, in my opinion, over-priced.

I could not believe this hotel is only a 2* hotel, it should definitely be listed as a 3* at least. The room is clean, we were supplied with towels and hangers for our clothes in the room. The room is quite small but comfortable. The TV in the room had Chromecast so we could connect our devices easily and watch whatever we wanted. The darkening curtains were excellent as they blocked out the light really well. The only downsides would be the view of the car park from our room and we were only given 1 pillow each and they were soft when I prefer a more firm pillow. The hotel is situated a 15 minute walk from the city centre, La Rochelle port and really close to La Rochelle train station. I could not hear the trains from my room but could hear it from the outside seating area. The lounge area (Ground floor) of the hotel is spacious and well lit, welcoming natural lighting from the glass (floor to ceiling) windows. They serve food and drinks at the bar, and there is an average sized pool past the lounge area with deck chairs. There is space to get some work done, eat and there is also an outdoor seating area, where you can relax or have your breakfast. There is a water refill station in front of the lift of every floor, so if you bring your own water bottles, you can have free water as the hotel do not provide water bottles in the room. The hotel is also safe as you need to use your room card in order to use the lift, and also in the evening to get into the front entrance of the hotel. To get to the hotel from the Airport, you can take the Illico 1b bus from the bus top, to the stop Hopital, which is a 20 minute bus journey and then a 7 minute walk from the bus stop to the hotel. There aren’t many shops near the hotel, there is a supermarket a 15 minute walk away, and there is a food market hall a 10 minute walk away. For £78 for one night, room only (Wednesday - Thursday) I would say this hotel was definitely worth the money spent.

Booked the hotel as we were travelling back to England from South off France on arriving found car park was to small for my vehicle and the pool was closed even though it was 25 degrees and the view from my bedroom window was a traveller's in campment when I decided I was not going to stay the manager became very rude and abropt telling me he would only refund some off the money which he still hasn't and trying to get hold off the hotel or anybody is quite impossible I feel well and truly robbed

Good morning, Thank you for leaving a review about our establishment even if you did not stay in it. To put things in context, you booked 2 rooms and you went down about 1 hour later explaining that the rooms were not suitable. We can fully understand that the rooms are not up to your expectations. However you used one of the two rooms, toilets and showers. So you can understand that we were unable to resell this room that is why we accepted to refund only one of the two rooms. If the rooms did not suit you, it would have been easier to tell us when you arrived and not after using them. Regarding swimming pool, it is stipulated on our websites that it is open only in season because it is an outdoor swimming pool. Just know that the permissions for swimming pool openings are issued by the city hall and that we are obliged to respect the dates given, regardless of the outside temperatures. Great stay at this hotel, great, helpful staff, nice chilled stay. Not the most scenic location but the port area is a short walk away. Good breakfast with a wide range of produce. The whole stay was Great value for money. Wild go back again!!!
