One night stay; fully met expectations. Efficient and friendly staff. Dog- friendly. Comfortable room. Good location for walking to the centre (10-15 min). Overall positive experience.

Expensive for an unremarkable hotel.

Disappointed. Expecting something a little more luxurious for the money. Bedroom was a little on the small side for 3 and the decor a little tired. Swimming pool on the small side. The view was unremarkable. On the plus side the location was near to the centre and worth paying extra for the excellent breakfast.

We stayed at novotel in Rouen and thought this would be just as good. It was not. The hotel is situated in the centre close to a park. Very nice sorroundings. Spacious parking, but impossible to charge electric cars due to the fact that the charching station did not work for our country. The rooms are terrible. Carpets on floor and the toilet is in a separate room so you have to touch two doors before you can wash you hands. All the doors in the tiny room is just ridiculous. The view was catastrophical. Seems there were only families with small children or elderly people staying here. The sofabed for our teenager was too small and uncomfortable. The beds have bed pads on them, which is NOT comfortable and unneccesary for a family with a teenager. The soap was not refilled during our stay and the last day there was no hand soap. The shower pressure was weak. The pool area was of such poor quality our swimmer of a son, refused to go in the water. We ordered a drink in the bar, and it was all alcohol and undrinkable. Cannot recommend this hotel.

Great Villa set in a traditional French village

Comfortable and well appointed 1 bedroom Villa with a private pool and garden, in the centre of a traditional French village. If you’re looking to get away from the usual hustle and bustle of the traditional holiday resorts and experience the local culture to practice your French, then I would highly recommend this place. The lovely owners live close by and are on hand if required without encroaching on the privacy. There is a nice beach about 8km away within a holiday resort and plenty of good restaurants if you fancy a bit of regular holiday experiences. La Rochelle is 15km away with fantastic shops and restaurants.

Absolutely brilliant 4 night stay. The room was quiet and comfortable, the meals were good, The parking is superb with secure locked gates. And last, the staff... to a person they were welcoming, friendly, and went above the norm to make us feel comfortable. In particular, Thomas and Henri on the bar were more like friends than staff. Would I recommend ? A resounding YES. Will I come back. ? Again YES.
