Even though Movenpick Phan Thiet is situated in a small town, you will not get tired staying with this property. The best part is the GXM Ms Jo and GRO Ms. Huyen are always on their toes to make sure all check-in guests are well taken care of. We will see them all around to assist and ensure their guests wear their smile and at the same time feeling at home away from home. Chef Long is also participating to make sure his culinary expertise is shared with all their guests obviously we cannot miss out FBM Ms Loan effort to make sure smooth sailing during the morning breakfasts

“Mövenpick – Phan Thiet” in April 2025 In April this year, we spent nearly 1 week at the Mövenpick Phan Thiet. The hotel looks like a huge castle and is situated not too far away from the beach in a quite remote and a little lonely and inhospitable area near Phan Thiet. For the relevant weekend the hotel was packed with Asian guests and two handfuls of Russians. Monday morning, the place was nearly empty and only 3-4 tables were taken for breakfast. My personal biggest “UNLIKE”: While first entering the hotel lobby, guests are ‘welcomed and entertained’ by reggae and latino music only - all day and all over the hotel !! I enjoy music of all kinds, but do NOT consider this Caribbean kind as real Asian taste. We were booked in 2 VIP-Suites on 9th floor and 1 on 8th floor with a great seaview. The Suite is rather well equipped, but unfortunately no desk/shelf/table or extra place for setting up a private notebook; additional table with chair was requested and supplied later. Internet very low at only 5 Mbps (speedtest on 16.4.2025 at 19.10 h) The electric light system with its large number of different buttons is not very easy to handle and needs several trials…. The breakfast buffet was huge with a big variety - but mostly orientated on Asian taste. No jam/marmalade except waterlike liquid pinapple and strawberry stuff, but a lot of Nutella and other different chocolate creams, only. Complaining about the jam situation, very efficient Breakfast Captain Ms. Loan brought one tasty orange jam from the kitchen. The fried bacon was ‘overdone’ – as usual. Guests of the VIP-floors can enjoy free use of the VIP-Lounge on the 9th floor with snacks and drinks; only the orange juice had a little bad taste of the real tin stuff, and the red wine shall not be served ice-cold. Unfortunately, the cosiness of that nicely decorated lounge is slightly disturbed by the continuous, previously mentioned reggae/latino music. On our first evening at Mövenpick we visited the lounge which was handled by a young unfriendly male hotel staff. Asking him for a different kind of music, he said that “the hotel did not have any other copyright”. And being asked what time the lounge was closing he said “19.00 pm”. Only while leaving we realized that closure time was 21.00 pm. Later at night, my wife and me woke up by 2.30 am feeling “not so good” (incl. vomiting and slight diarrhea, suspecting some ‘pale looking smoked salmon from the buffet) Except that boy, we mostly met rather friendly, even a few really competent and good English speaking staff, like Ms Chi our favourite one being most friendly, helpful to the guests and at all corners of the breakfast lounge, supervising, assisting and advising all her staff. She also assisted to ‘remove’ one female staff at the Vietnamese Food counter who continued sneezing and coughing while preparing food for the guests. A similar case we had at our room. While we were sitting at the living room, a housekeeping boy was cleaning up our bedroom and never stopped coughing for several minutes and was sweating strongly, before I had him exchanged through housekeeping. Besides, we met excellent hotel staff Ms. Jo and Ms. Huyen (Business Relation) with competent efficiency and very good English.

Great experience. The staff welcomed us like they were expecting us, check-in was chill with a welcome drink. Receptionist Hai was super helpful. The room surprised us with nice decor and a little cake waiting inside. The suite was big and beautifully designed. We mostly ate at the lounge, food was good and the reception staff there kept checking in on us, felt like they really care. Would definitely come back!
