The hotel a great place stay when in Bendigo. Whilst the rooms are small they are well maintained and very clean and the hotel has a cafe meeting place in the foyer which has some great food options and great coffee

Once my room was swapped it was all good except for the extra charges.

Dear Glyn Thank you for providing your feedback. I completely understand the confusion and I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may has caused. Upon reviewing your reservation, I can confirm that the booking was made for a Standard Room. Unfortunately, as our Twin Rooms were unavailable at the time you made your booking, the system could only offer the room types that were in stock. Because the reservation was made on a prepaid, non-refundable and non-amendable rate, we are unable to modify the existing booking without applying additional charges. These terms are part of the rate booked, and we are required to follow them. That said, we genuinely wanted to assist you, and we went out of our way to offer the most suitable solution available within the restrictions of the booking conditions. Our room was on the small side but accessible including the beautiful bathroom; linens and accessories. There wasn’t a microwave unfortunately and this made our experience less than enjoyable as we were out before the restaurant opened for breakfast and back after it closed. We couldn’t even take advantage of the compensatory drink for the same reason. Otherwise it is a beautiful hotel with extremely lovely art works and very friendly and professional staff.
