So incredibly disappointed with my experience as I was unable to stay at the Mercure Bendigo due to complications from Oral surgery and had to rush to Melbourne for treatment. Unfortunately the hotel informed me it was out of the refund window & if I got a certificate to ‘prove my condition’ they would resolve the situation with a 50% refund. So far from a resolution when only one party is satisfied.I obtained a certificate from the Oral & Maxillofacial surgeon whilst I was in Melbourne and called some days later when I was well enough to obtain the 50% refund. Due to extraneous circumstances I think a full refund was required. Not good enough Mercure and I will certainly not be considering staying again as I have done so in the past or recommending the hotel to family and friends as I have also previously. The experience with my surgery was traumatic enough without the added stress of my accomodation experience.
