We were allocated a quiet room, as requested, that had a river view. Reception staff were friendly with the welcome glass of wine a lovely touch. Considering the cost per night, we expected a higher level of decor in the room and quality and size of ensuite.

The perfect out of town getaway

We received a voucher to stay at Michelton Winery Hotel as a wedding present. As this is on the pricier side we likely would not have come here without the voucher, however wow are we glad we did and boy is it worth the money. The property itself is beautiful with stunning minimalist design and warm and friendly staff. It’s the kind of place you can spend your whole weekend at the hotel and be entertained or explore the nearby township and local wineries and be just as happy. From the moment we walked in and were given a welcome glass of their own Shiraz by the fire we knew we were in for a relaxing stay. The room is spacious, beds comfortable and has all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. The pool setting looked beautiful but being winter and not being heated we were unable to use. It would be nice to have a spa or sauna option to allow you to use this stunning setting in the cooler months. There are two restaurants (one breakfast lunch and one lunch dinner) on the property and we were both impressed with the quality of the food. Staff remembered us here and always gave us our favourite table which was a nice touch. Happy hours are available and the bar at the sky tower opens of the night for a beautiful view and setting for a pre dinner drink or night cap, watch the wildlife and enjoy the sunset! Whilst we would not have checked this hotel out due to the higher price, having stayed here we can appreciate the value and will hopefully return and most definitely recommend to friends and family.

Lives up to the hype.

We spent two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We booked through Luxury Escapes and this deserved the title. Friendly, informed staff, well appointed and very comfortable room. Restful environs - we so loved it here. The bed was comfortable, nothing was too much trouble. And the Muse restaurant? Beyond fabulous.

Incredible!!!

Stayed at the hotel with my partner for a duration of two nights, opting for dinner at The Muse on both evenings and breakfast at the Provedore. I must express my utmost satisfaction with this hotel and winery. Despite it being our inaugural visit, anticipation for a return is already palpable. The service, culinary offerings, and accommodations were truly exemplary. Additionally, the wine tasting provided an enjoyable and reasonably priced experience, complemented by an exceptional cheese board. The Aboriginal art gallery left a profound impression, its offerings truly awe-inspiring. While the pool area appeared inviting, the late-April weather deterred any swimming endeavors. Overall, it was a delightful experience, one that I enthusiastically recommend to others seeking a comprehensive retreat.

A little bit of luxury in a wonderful setting.

We broke a trip to Melbourne with a night in the hotel and dinner at their restaurant, Muse. The hotel was very well appointed, offered under cover parking (which was great on a wet evening as we arrived), has EV chargers in the surface carpark outside, and id managed by some very nice staff. After checks in we were offered and accepted glasses of Mitchelton's finest white wine before heading to our spacious room with wonderful views, a kingsize bed and a lovely bathroom. We dined in Muse which was surprisingly full for a Tuesday evening. The menu was excellent, the foods chose were delicious, especially the corn croquettes and my Pork Cutlet which was big and tasty. I had the Preece Rose which I was advised is a Mitchelton homage to one of their original wine makers, a Mr Preece. It certainly complemented the pork. Lovely piccolo coffees finished our evening and then it was a walk in the rain back to the hotel for a lovely night's sleep.
