Lovely modern hotel with great choice at breakfast and very helpful staff at reception and in the bars and restaurants.Lots of shops and restaurants nearby and short walk to the beach. Room very spacious comfy bed with lots of good lighting. Our room had a huge balcony. This was deluxe double. I thought the towels could have been bit better quality very thin. Slippers and robes provided in our room which is a nice touch. Fridge and nespresso coffee machine in room. Steamer and hair dryer also provided. Pool and gardens lovely but very shaded in places and unfortunately the same old reserving of sun beds and no one on them for hours and hotel not enforcing the rules a sign on each sunbed is not enough they are just ignored especially in high season. Staff need to remove towels after 30mins. No one uses the cabanas as they are extra cost they could be removed and used for more regular sunbed space. It’s definitely a very nice hidden gem in Benidorm as I had read on other reviews. The pizza place attached to the hotel is amazing and the staff who work there.

We enjoyed a week here and booked it based on the pictures of the pool and gardens, plus the note that it wasn't suitable for stag and hen groups. The trees and plants help screen surrounding buildings and create relaxing areas to sit in. Two or three groups of hen and stags arrived towards the end of our stay and two were quite noisy around the pool and shouting from balcony to balcony/pool. I'm not sure what can be done about such bookings and they didn't seem to 'read the room' in that it was clearly a chilled, like-minded clientele staying. A few more sunbeds would be good but we found the garden chairs comfortable enough to sit in, read and relax if no sunbeds were available. I believe the day beds had two options, one was 100 euros for the day but this included 80 euros of food and drink. Our room was quiet and clean, with efficient air con and blackout curtains. We reported a small issue with the ceiling fan before we went out one evening and said it wasn't urgent, however it had been rectified by the time we got back so that was good. I must mention Sonia and another colleague in the morning restaurant team. Sonia was extremely kind and efficient and we found all other staff we encountered to be smartly dressed and helpful. Breakfast was good, we wish we had taken the half board option and will if we visit again. 10 minutes walk to the old town and efficient taxis to the new town, reception phoned for taxis for us and they were outside within minutes. We used 'Benidorm Seriously' website for their what's on guide and would recommend visiting at least one of the rooftop bars, such as at the Queens Hotel in the old town (walk into the bar, go to the lift at the back). All in all we'd return to the Mercure and would recommend it for single travellers or couples.

Beautiful, peaceful hotel in a great location. We stayed in a deluxe room which was lovely and a great size. The bed was the most comfortable ever and great black out curtains. We really liked the shaded areas around the pool and the way the loungers were arranged which gave a bit of privacy. Only issue we experienced was our aircon breaking which we needed to chase up 3 times before getting fixed. We will definitely be back.

Set amongst the business of bustling Benidorm, this Hotel has a lovely, chilled, sophisticated vibe. Pretty as the pool area was, we were never able to get a sunbed and parasol, so too hot for us to sit. Food, a bit samey, but very good. Drinks rather expensive, and they ran out of vodka one day!, and could not offer an alternative. Standard rooms, clean and airy but extremely snug! However, overall impressed and would stay again.

You won’t be disappointed!

My husband booked this hotel for our mini moon and I was not disappointed! We had the duplex room, which is perfect for couples celebrating a special occasion. Rooms were stunning, so spacious and clean! The staff were very welcoming, even left us a bottle of alcohol on entry to the room. The hotel itself is a little haven. Beautifully furnished, smells amazing wherever you walk and just a lovely place. The sunbeds were great too, I loved the little secluded areas they have. Breakfast was really nice too, no complaints! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back!!
