Horrible place to work. Nasty staff. And employers who will do everything they can to remove any support you have. Some staff WOULD go above and beyond for you, but I doubt they’ll still be there by time it reopens by the way that the employer treats its employees. Shame really because the few people who would help you are the ones being taken advantage of.

Amazing hotel, friendly staff and have no time for idiots from YouTube. Definitely will be staying here again when possible. Keep up the amazing work to all staff. The breakfasts were delicious and Definitely worth coming just for that....

I would never stay here again. I am writing this review more than a month after my stay. I wasn't originally going to write a review but I'm still disappointed over this experience. We arrived to check in and were told that there was a technological fault meaning that nobody could be checked into their room. This wasn't the staff's fault of course I understood that. We had a party to go to and called hours later only to find out the check in system hadn't started working again until after 8pm! Again, not the hotel staff's fault. The issue was we were not once offered an apology. I requested a late check out (when we finally checked in at 1am), which we were given thankfully, but given with hesitation. Nobody was even at the reception desk for hours in the morning! A simple sorry would have been the bare minimum for this situation. It caused us a lot of hassle, including not being able to shower before the party in a room we had paid for and ending up bothering our friends as we had to show up to their house early. It's a shame as the hotel and rooms are nice, but the service is lacking.

Absolutely ridiculous!!! Booked in the hotel has closed down drive all the way there for the hotel to be closed. No information given to us no real contact number to get through to someone as they palm you off with a mobile number that doesn’t go through to. What a rip off! Give us our money back now! We wasn’t informed at all over the hotel shutting down. I’d also rate lower than a 1 star if it was possible. We were told a manager should of let us know but going by other reviews the manager can’t even be arsed to don his job

Good Evening GingerLad11, While I appreciate your fustrations, this closure was totally unexpected, and for a point of clarity, the hotel has not closed down. We have uncovered some emergency structural works that need to be resolved before we can re-open to the public. As your booking was not direct with the hotel and through a 3rd party, we informed your travel agent, whos responsibility it is to contact yourself. When booking through a 3rd party, we do not get your contact details, they remain with the booking site used when making a reservation, hence why we have to contact them first. As you can imagine, outbooking and dealing with changes to reservations for the rest of the calender year is a massive operation, and staff are on site dealing with reservations and ensuring the site is manned for security purposes. While staff are working their hardest, they also expect respect, and from what I understand, this was not shown by yourself. We are not sure what 'other reviews' you are mentioning, as the our current general manager, responds to all guest issues, and those that are esculated are dealt with quickly.

Booked, confirmed with reservation number, money taken out of my account, accor member.... after 4 hour drive from London arrive at hotel to find it is closed for refurbishment... now had to book premier in at extra cost for accommodation and travel. ... give me my money back you messed up. Star rating -10 . Loyalty member its a joke

We informed them on the 13th of November that we would be closing due to unexpected work found during the current renovations. If you can send me a screenshot of your bank statement with the money leaving your account, and your reservation details, I will raise the refund request with our finance team.
