Comfortable hotel

Hotel clean though strange the towels had to be thrown on the bathroom floor to get them changed! No fridge but understand newly renovated rooms will have these. At the back - awful view but didn’t spend much time in the room. Dark too as no ceiling lights! Staff very helpful. Ate in restaurant - a lot of very tasty food ( breakfast and dinner). Twin room- securing the beds needs addressing ( or placing something between them) as if you sat on the edge, the bed slid beneath you as it moved towards the second bed - potentially this could have caused an injury had it been my elderly Mother that sat on it whereas I quickly stood up!

However, we regret to hear about the issue you had with the towel change policy. Though this is part of our ongoing initiatives as a eco-conscious hotel, we take note of comment. Additionally, our renovated rooms, including our Privilege, Superior, and Family rooms, are equipped with minibars for added convenience. Regarding the view from the backside, some rooms do face the inner courtyard and we always aim to acknowledge our guests' preferences. We also understand that adequate lighting is essential, and we will take your feedback into consideration. As for the twin beds, we apologize for any inconvenience. Our facilities are designed with our guests' safety and comfort in mind and we appreciate you bringing this matter to our attention. We hope to welcome you back. Nice view of the river in the 7th floor

The hotel was ok, staff were ok, room was ok, we were in the 7th floor facing the river which was a nice view. The hotel was completely separate from the hotel which was a bit weird but it was a nice bar, the car park had easy access was great as well had a bike with us.

Rude check-in service. Would not recommend. Management notified - no response received. Very poor.

Deep dissatisfaction with the check-in experience at Mercure Liege City Centre. The behavior of the young woman at the check-in desk was extremely rude and unprofessional. Even a colleague in the office opposite the check-in area was visibly shaking her head at the young woman’s behavior, highlighting just how inappropriate it was. Once in my room, I immediately notified management by email and private social media - I am yet to receive a response. This sums up their customer service!

Modern hotel in an ancient building.

Located in a nicely restored monastery the hotel has a good feel, with a modern and attractive lobby. We had a good sized room on the third floor, with a queen size bed and a rather hard mattress. Coffee corner, no slippers no bathrobes. The hotel has an exit on the river boardwalk, makes a nice 20 minutes walk to the city center. Gated paying parking, partly underground, 4 charging points. Breakfast is served in the authentic monastery hall.

Great en route stop over

Brilliant hotel as a stop over on our way to Italy on a coach tour. Our rooms were great but could have done with a centre light fitting as a bit dark and dingy. The breakfasts were great. So much choice and all tasted very fresh. The coffee was very good too.
