A mixed experience

Basically OK but we had a couple of small gripes. We booked a double room for 6 nights. There was only one chair and a strange arrangement with a fixed bench-type seat in an alcove next to the bed, opposite the window so sitting there meant a sideways view of the TV. Tea & coffee making facilities were limited. On arrival, for two people, there were 2 small pots of milk, and enough coffee for 4 small espresso cups of coffee. Tea options were similarly limited. The 2 cups had no handles so the initial brew was generally too hot to pick up for a few minutes. Extra milk/sugar/tea/coffee were available from reception at a cost of 50 cents each. Never seen that in a hotel before. Beds were comfortable and the large window opening, doubling as a balcony, was a neat idea. Finally, the hotel WiFi failed on our last evening in the hotel but I guess that could happen anywhere. One of it's best points is the hotels proximity to Delft city centre. A short 10 to 15 minute walk away.

The positive. This hotel is in a great location next to the station in the beautiful city of Delft. That was it. The room was mostly tidy and clean until our last night in the hotel. Then it didn’t get cleaned. We complained to reception to be told that we had requested that our towels were not replaced. Did we also request that we didn’t want the bed to be made and cups left dirty too? The attitude of the member of staff on reception was dire, we as customers are told we are lying. The lighting in the room was substandard. Two lamps by the beds did not work. The best lit part of the room was the area around the door. No-one uses that area to read or get dressed, so all a bit useless. Superior room? Breakfast each morning was a disaster. Not enough cutlery, bowls or glasses. One member of staff trying to do everything (this lady also checked us out on departure, she was consistently lovely). The bar is ok, but it is a bit of an inconvenience to the staff if you want to use it. One day we had no WIFI, also no TV as that runs off the WIFI. This is not a cheap hotel. I would advise anyone considering booking into here to look at other options in Delft.

Perfect location to visit the beautiful city of Delft. Friendly staff and clean, functional rooms at a great price. Only small issue is that I was refused a drink as I was inebriated but to be fair I would not have served myself if I was in that state either.

Gorgeous big room overlooking a park. Well located, opposite the main train station. Staff friendly. Huge bathroom. The breakfast area was completely unprepared for a full seating, despite being required to book a breakfast slot in advance. There was only 1 coffee machine. There was no toast or the opportunity to make any. The buffet items were often finished and it took long before the items were replenished. The buffet was also rather limited in choice.

This was our second time staying at the hotel. We love it! The location is very convenient: close to the central train and bus stations, within walking distance to anything you’d like to see and do in Delft, pleasant and quiet. Breakfast was great, and the staff are all super nice and helpful.
