SLS Cancun

Hotel in general was good and clean, room really spacious. Outside pool area is rather small and the sun goes quickly down behind the building. Overall still a nice hotel, would say 4+/5 stars. Checkout process was too slow, as we had a taxi waiting and the receptionist needed to confirm by housekeeping that we hadn’t used anything from the minibar - weird detail as we had paid the deposit from which anything could’ve been deducted, as well as a first hotel I’ve been to where our word was not believed but they actually wanted to *confirm* that we did not use anything.

Fantastic hotel in private, quiet location close to Puerto Cancun shopping and dining plaza. Nice, spacious rooms in contemporary decor with beautiful views of the ocean and a private beach. The staff was incredible helpful and really made the experience - from a relaxed checking process all the way to an efficient checkout at the end of the stay. Highly recommend this hotel for the ambience and tranquility away from the busy hotel mile. The breakfast menu has countless delicious options and the views make every morning a pure joy to start the day. Hang out at the infinity pool or the beach club during the day or in the evening - always a great time.

Had an AMAZING girls trip at the SLS Cancun. Julio at the front desk and his whole team took such amazing care of us, and made our stay unforgettable. No need was left unmet! The pool/beach staff, especially Rafael, was so attentive and friendly. The rooms were well designed and extremely comfortable. I would recommend this trip to anyone looking to have a good time!

Good and excellent restaurant service team, this team was excellent congratulations to them!! Now, about the reception and direction group, it was terrible! This hotel (who belongs to the Accor group) does not follow the rules of the group to which it belongs. My suggestion to Accor members would be not to use it! I do not recommend!!

Ever wanted to stay at a luxury hotel with unbelievable views and surrounded by multiple pools and the beach?! Well, this hotel is undoubtedly one to impress!! Minus the pools, of course. Upon arrival in the taxi, you have to provide your details to security to enter the hotel, then 50 meters further, you have to do it all over again, another boom gate, more security. At check-in, the hotel staff were kind, polite and professional. Don't forget this is a luxury hotel afterall, so you have to pay that luxury price as a deposit for the minibar - approx. 92,00.00 pesos in fact. As a Gold Accor member, I am pleased and thankful to be upgraded to a beach-view room with a king bed. Shortly after check in was time for a walk along the beach and a swim in one of the many pools the room overlooked. Or so we thought. Walking up from the beach to the pool security scurried over and said that these three (empty) pools were for permanent residents only (we were never told we were not able to access any part of the hotel as part of check in). Understandably, we moved on to another pool area, it only had one person in it. There was no other staff around the pool besides the lifesaver, so we could kindly ask where we could get some towels. This staff member shrugged and said they have never heard of towels before. Again, no issue; we returned to the main desk to get some towels to which they were kindly supplied. As we approached the pool again, two staff members stood before the gate, one shaking her head and the other saying this pool was for residents only. After asking which pool hotel guests were allowed to use, we were shown. The next morning, the body wash in the bathroom was completely empty (to help staff, we ensured the container was not straight on the wall to signify it needed to be checked). After 12 hours of being out of the hotel, it was disappointing to see the body was still empty. Again, it's no issue; people miss things. We went downstairs to speak personally to the reception staff for new towels and body wash. To ensure the team had enough time to attend to the room, we went for an hour swim. Upon return, there were no towels and no soap. Again, we spoke to staff, and again, we went to dinner somewhere else to ensure enough time. Upon return, again, no towels or soap. For the third time, we asked for soap and towels. This time, we went for a drink at the bar to allow the staff time to access the room. Upon return, we found towels and no soap. For the fourth time, we asked the staff for soap and returned to our room. I then witnessed the reception staff access another room (which was occupied as I could hear the people talking), and they gave us their 3/4 empty bottle. Now the bar staff have knocked on our door, saying they didn't get our room number or signature to approve the cocktail. (Then how did they know which room to come to). Overall, how did this hotel feel? Overpriced for limited access to facilities. And the poor communication between staff really let us down.
