Not a great experience , Paying to park at your hotel , defective rooms

Went for an event in cardiff , looked at the hotel on Booking.com , specifically picked it because it said "parking" yet no where did it state you had to pay over £10 for one night even though you were a guest at the the hotel. There appeared to be ample parking as to the right the car park still had spaces and to the left it was a large open area that was only about 20% full even though Cardiff was hosting the Welsh Rugby and was probably the busiest I had seen it. Staff appeared fairly robotic just going through the motions but I assume it was because it was fairly busy on the day. On getting in the room we noticed it was fairly cold , the room stat was not operating I possibly believe the temperature is set for the whole hotel. Lighting in the room was not adequate consisting of two round LED lights and two table lights for the whole large room. The sink in the bathroom appeared to be slow emptying and the water from the trap kept back filling into the sink , the chain on the plug was also broken. There was visible mold in the shower area and it just seemed very neglected. There was a puddle in the lift of unknown origin and appeared to still be there when we came back from town and the single lift was far too small for the amount of guests currently in the hotel. There was some sort of wet room opposite the toilets downstairs and a bad odour coming from that direction. Some of the reviews about this hotel seems suspect as there are far better places to stay in Cardiff and more reasonably priced with free parking.

Bonjour. Voyage en grand groupe. Reece a tout fait pour faciliter notre arrivée. Très bon accueil et petit déjeuner copieux. Un peu excentré du centre ville mais nous le savions en réservant et de toute façon c est très bien desservi par le bus de ville. Je recommande pour un voyage en groupe.

très mécontent de cet hotel qui n'est pas au niveau de la chaine Accorhotel Mercure par un manque de considération en tant que client "Diamond" avec une chambre bruyante au niveau de la ventilation de la salle de bain meme avec la porte fermé. Ce point a été signalé sans changement. Ayant dormi 2 nuits, la chambre n'a pas été nettoyé et le lit non fait. L'acceuil a été déplorable et obligé de réclamer 2 fois pour le welcome drink. Franchement, il y a eu que le petit déjeuner de positif même si il a fallu que je montre à 2 reprises ma carte diamond pour ne pas payer le prix du petit dejeuner....

Increíble falta de atención y de servicio. Solicité en recepcion una toalla de baño extra que nunca fue entregada en la habitación. La reclamé al llegar por la noche de vuelta al hotel y mismo resultado: " no se preocupe, ahora mismo lo llevamos", pero nunca llegó. También pedí en recepción ayuda con el sistema de calefacción que yo no era capaz de hacer funcionar. El técnico o la ayuda nunca llegó, de modo que la noche no fue comfortable por frío. Después de pagar más de 300 euros por esta habitación, me sentí ignorado y menospreciado. Lamentable.
