I found it in poor taste to hold $100 on my card for incidentals when your restaurant was closed and the mini bar was completely empty. It's been 7 days and the money still hasn't been returned.

We love contemporary art and were very pleased with the art selection at the hotel. However, the “hotel” part did have some issues. The website listed valet parking, but when we got to the hotel, we found out this had been paused due to covid. This wouldn’t have been a big deal if we had been notified ahead of time in an email, but we were not. Also, your restaurant was great, but it was a bummer that you had nothing open when we arrived on Monday night. Overall, the room was beautiful, but the amenities were a bit lacking. The toilet paper was scratchy and so were the towels. There was also only ONE caffeinated coffee pod when we arrived, so the first morning we had to go down to the desk so we could both have coffee. That is not something you want to have to do as a guest. Then, housekeeping didn’t give us anymore coffee when they came, so we had to go to the desk the next day and get both pods we needed. Again, the room was beautiful and the location was great, but the little stuff makes a stay a 10/10. Also, we had a weird experience with the lights in the room not working right when you turned them on. You had to turn them on and wait a few minutes. Then, they would eventually come on. We were also awoken by a weird, loud buzzing sound coming from the wall by the bed in the middle of the night. It finally went off but was very weird and disturbing. All the employees were very friendly and helpful, though. Great front desk staff and bartender. The restaurant and bar were also good when they were open. Finally, I am not sure I would stay with you all again since you don’t have any breakfast for room service. Room service breakfast is one of the big reasons we choose hotels over air bnbs. If there’s no room service breakfast, I’d rather stay in an air bnb where I can easily make it. But again, the art and the hotel itself were beautiful. Might be enough to bring us back despite the drawbacks. Thanks for the stay and good luck weathering covid! Your business is really interesting, and we like the idea of art hotels!

Have stayed at 21c in Bentonville and OKC before with wonderful experiences. We were a little disappointed with our stay at this location. The staff seemed a bit disgruntled at check in / check out, the restaurant / bar was closed our entire stay (were planning on pre-dinner cocktails and brunch there the following day), and the shower in our room did not drain at all (held water in bottom) which is not appealing during a shower. Room had one bottle of water available. Overall, felt the cost of the room was extremely high for the experience.

Fun, quality and well-managed property!

From the first entrance to our final exit the staff was cheerful and accommodating. The contemporary art installations are fun and inspiring. We were attending an on site wedding and all of that went smoothly as well!

I stayed here last minute over the new year. HOLY INSTA-worthy background! From the check in gallery to every floor full of art, this might be the coolest hotel I’ve stayed in. If you stay in the corner room with the gold curtains, you are obligated to take a pic on the purple couch!

We had a wonderful stay at 21c from start to finish. The front desk people were welcoming, friendly, & extremely helpful. The attached restaurant staff was equally as wonderful, not to mention offering tasty food at a convenience location (especially in the winter - brr!). Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for couples, families, & individuals. The rooms were clean & had character - not like your typical chain hotel - yet still at a reasonable rate. The location is central & close to many restaurants & bars. I look forward to coming back to Kansas City!

Great views from corner king room!

My three person family stayed at the 21c in KC over the Christmas holiday. We booked a suite but there was no mini fridge or microwave. The nespresso coffee was a nice touch but we only got one regular pod and one decaf pod. Luckily the front desk sent us a fridge and microwave. And more coffee pods. There was no bedding for the sofa bed so we had to request that also. In five days we never got to eat at the restaurant once because they were either closed or had limited hours. The front desk gave me two complimentary drink tickets but I still have them. I could never find the bar open. One of the worst things was that about 10 pm every night it sounded like there was either a bowling alley behind my head or there was a railway outside our windows. My son told me I was being a Karen about the coffee pods so I did not complain about the noise. Also the hotel left its guests with nothing to eat on Christmas. The clerk directed me to a “wonderful” pastry shop that opened at 7 am. So I went down there at 7:30 Christmas morning to get us a meal. They were closed for Christmas. I wondered how many other guests she directed to go there. On a positive note, the art was out of this world. I really enjoyed all of it. The penguins are cute also.

Not really a kid friendly hotel, but was there for an event. I was confused on the mini bar charges as there is no alcohol in them and we just used it as a fridge for our leftovers. They did remove the charges upon checking out. The beds were comfortable and the hotel very clean. The restaurant was closed so we didn’t get to experience that. Overall a good stay.
