I am writing this review to share a serious safety incident that occurred during my stay, as well as my disappointment with how the hotel handled the situation afterward. During our stay, the iron in our room experienced an electrical malfunction that resulted in burning and sparking while in use. This was an alarming and dangerous moment for me and my family. Thankfully, no one was injured, but the potential risk was significant. What made the situation even worse was the hotel’s reaction — or lack of one. No one checked on us, no one apologized, no one called back, and no written acknowledgment was provided. Nothing. Only after I wrote an email did I receive any form of response. I immediately requested clear documentation regarding the incident and the steps taken to prevent it from happening again. Despite multiple written requests, the hotel refused to provide even a basic written incident summary or confirmation of the corrective actions taken. They simply stated that all records were “internal,” which is far from reassuring for a guest who experienced a real safety hazard. A hotel with this level of reputation should understand that guests deserve transparency — especially in situations involving electrical safety. Instead, the lack of communication left us feeling dismissed rather than protected. After the incident, we left the room and later returned to stay four more nights. Even then, we were too afraid to charge our phones in the room at night because we no longer trusted the electrical safety. Additionally, we could not understand why housekeeping did not properly clean the area where the incident happened, despite it being a clear safety and hygiene concern. Safety issues can happen anywhere, but how a hotel responds is what truly reflects its standards. Unfortunately, in this case, the response did not meet even the minimum level of accountability we expected. Such a shame.

Amazing stay except no hot water

Stayed here 2 nights. Amazing location! Great rooms and views. Rooms feel up to date and clean. Everything was amazing except for one thing. Hardly any hot water at all. The only time we could get hot water was when we took a shower at 2 am one night. Water was only luke warm. Told the front desk about it and still didn't change the outcome. Wouldn't stay here again for that reason.

We had an amazing stay at the Novotel Miami Brickell. The hotel was exceptionally clean, modern, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The customer service was outstanding—every staff member we interacted with was friendly, helpful, and made us feel taken care of. We stayed for one night before taking a cruise and we arrived a few hours before check in, even though the room was not ready, we were given access to their pool area and eventually we were given a room 1 hour earlier. The location was perfect and made our trip even easier, as we were within walking distance from public transportation (Trolley) and we were able to go to Calle 8, Brickell Mall, etc. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, well located, spacious and clean room, reasonably priced parking, beautiful pool view, and excellent bathroom. The water pressure could be improved, and the bathroom lighting could be a bit brighter.
