Great hotel for Families, Rooms were clean with amazing views, entertainment for kids are plenty, variety of restaurants and bars, the ONLY negative point was the food and experience at the Beach restaurant place… I am not sure who is the manager of that restaurant but those staff were confused, missing orders of our kids, running around like headless chicken with false promises…

Aside from a few drawbacks, everything was wonderful. We arrived at the hotel around 11 AM and decided not to wait in the lobby, opting to go for a swim instead. We didn’t return until 2 PM, though according to the All app, our room was ready by 1 PM. When we entered, we discovered a leak in the bathroom ceiling. I immediately called reception, but no one answered. So, I had to go down in person to report the issue. They assured me that we would be moved to another room soon. After some time, I received a call informing me that someone would come for our luggage. Instead, a staff member arrived, asked about the problem, and said they would repair the ceiling. By this point, over an hour had passed since I first reported the issue. We had been sitting in wet swimsuits, unable to shower or change, waiting to be relocated. Finally, I decided to go back to reception and ask for the manager. Unfortunately, the manager was quite dismissive and seemed annoyed when I brought up compensation for our inconvenience. She insisted that switching our room was enough and repeatedly reminded me that we had been checked in early, as if we should be grateful. However, we hadn’t asked for early check-in, and we wouldn’t have entered the room before the official time if we hadn’t been notified that it was ready. I found her attitude upsetting and decided to escalate the matter. Thankfully, I was contacted by the Front Office Operations Director, Tarek, who handled the situation professionally. Thanks to his involvement, our initial disappointment didn’t ruin the trip. As a kind gesture, he invited us to dinner at Boons, where we met the wonderful Bonita—an incredibly kind, friendly, and highly professional person! Dining at The Market Unfortunately, apart from the excellent breakfast, the food at The Market left much to be desired. While the meals at Boons and Ula were delicious, The Market’s offerings were bland and limited. However, one standout dish was the shrimp dumplings—they were absolutely amazing! I casually shared my feedback about the overall food quality with the supervisor, not expecting anything in return. To my surprise, the next evening, we received a special dish! This thoughtful gesture continued throughout our stay, turning every dinner into a delightful surprise. Huge thanks to Yam and Hussein for the amazing and diverse meals—we truly felt like valued guests. And, of course, a special thanks to Arish for the outstanding service and warm hospitality! Ula – The Best Part We spent most of our time at Ula, and I’d like to express my gratitude to the wonderful staff there for making our experience so memorable. Hotel & Rooms The hotel grounds are like a work of art. The rooms are beautiful, though housekeeping could be improved. That said, any specific requests were handled promptly. One thing that seemed odd was the daily request for dental kits. The toothpaste provided is single-use, so we had to ask for new kits every day, including toothbrushes. Final Thoughts Overall, for the price, the stay was fantastic, and I would love to return!

Excellent hotel with good service, great food, cleaning👍. Entertainment for children, good animation . Beautiful beach with white sand, clean bay. Big thanks to the cleaning staff, every day we had a clean room, bathroom accessories, new towels. All good, thanks Mövenpick!!!

I have just returned from a 3 night stay here and we chose the all inclusive package. I was staying with my two boys, 6 and 8 year old and they absolutely loved the kids club. In fact, the whole hotel was so family friendly! It was clearly the busiest time seen as it was the UAE school holidays but everyone was very accommodating. Being on the all inclusive package meant we had to eat our breakfast, lunch and dinner at the main eatery- The Market. But that was not a problem! Each mealtime there was such a large variety of food! I follow a vegan/vegetarian diet and this was suitably accommodating- to the point where I could request vegan yoghurt rather than the many different varieties of dairy yoghurt on display. There was the option for soya milk alongside the full fat milk variety which was a pleasant surprise. My boys loved the food also and they could try lots of different things from the main buffet but there was plenty of the "standard" sort of kids food in the dedicated kids area. The all inclusive package covers 2 types of beer, Becks and Lowenbrau. I am not a fan of the Becks so it was nice to have another choice. The wine was really good too. I had a couple of glasses of the white on occasion. There is a variety of cocktails - which varied in strength depending on where you ordered them !! You could get drinks from the beach house , the Market and the Boon's brasserie (from 4pm). It was a treat to be able to enjoy a drink in Boons as some evenings they had live music playing too! The kids club is fully supervised and they had a fab schedule of activities which kept my boys very entertained! I can't recommend the kids club enough. I felt really safe leaving the boys there whilst I was actually able to have a relax. Children do need to be over 4 to be able to do this however. But I saw lots of lovely little ones and their parents having a lovely time. Our room faced the pool and across the sea so it was lovely and very clean! My husband and I shared the extremely large king bed!! and my boys were on the sofa double bed pull out. They slept so well on there and it was very comfortable. There was a mini bar which was not included in the all inclusive and I wasn't sure if that meant the coffee and tea facilities so didn't use them. There was complimentary water though, which was welcomed! The shower in the ensuite was huge! Which was very handy after showering down the boys after being on the beach. Oh, and the floating obstacle course! My husband and boys loved that! It's such a fun thing for them to do together. Over all, we had a wonderful time and really would love to visit again! The ONLY thing which was slightly disappointing was that they have a mini golf course but this was an extra cost so, after paying so much already, we didn't really want to pay more. It would have been a lovely touch if that was also included in the all inclusive package. But this was, for us, the only negative thing. And there was so much other things to do, it wasn't really a big deal!

Red Flag 🚩 I had a highly disappointing experience at Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island, which fell far below the standards expected from a five-star Accor hotel. Upon check-in, we were shocked to find a bottle of Sprite under the bed—an immediate red flag for cleanliness. The sanitary facilities were rusty, making the room feel unmaintained and unhygienic. Traveling with a six-month-old baby, cleanliness was a top priority, and the hotel completely failed in this regard. The overall state of the hotel was equally concerning. The lobby seating, both inside and outside, was visibly dirty and stained. Tables were left uncleaned, ashtrays were not emptied, and it was evident that the hotel was understaffed and lacking proper upkeep. When we raised our concerns, the hotel manager offered a complimentary dinner. However, this only highlighted another issue—the disappointing food selection. The buffet lacked variety, and over six days, salmon was offered only once at breakfast. The dinner selection was just as underwhelming, far from what one would expect at a five-star resort. That being said, I want to acknowledge the pool staff, who were consistently helpful and professional, providing the level of service expected at a luxury hotel. The F&B manager also made a genuine effort to improve our experience, but the overall issues with cleanliness, food, and maintenance indicate a serious lack of management and staffing. Despite bringing all these issues to the hotel’s attention, no compensation was offered. This stay did not reflect the quality promised by Accor and Mövenpick, and I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone expecting a true five-star experience.
