Not anywhere near Movenpick standard and shame on Accor. 3 star Mecure at best. The only reason this hotel exists is for Muslim travellers transiting through the airport going to Mecca. Not a business person in sight and not a holiday maker in sight. It is a dry property, no alcohol, segregated gym, and dress requirements for swimming area. If you are a tiered Accor Member looking for a stopover hotel, avoid this one and go somewhere else. It’s a blight on Accor to have this branded as a Movenpick. The hotel itself is ok, clean, but tired and worn, and like other reviews it really smells awful for some reason. It is next door to a big Mosque which in itself is very pretty and nice to see, but if your room faces it you will get noise at prayer times as its broadcast over speakers. I wont be back.

Stayed at this slightly dated but architecturally interesting hotel as it is reasonably priced and offers an airport shuttle service. Please can readers be aware the hotel is linked to the adjacent Islamic convention center and Mosque and therefore it is a 'dry' hotel with no alcohol sold on the premises. The hotel is large and spacious and had a nice pool and a small clean decent gym, both of which I used. A decent self service breakfast is on offer although service ended slightly earlier than I expected. The only other observation I have is that overnight I was disturbed by numerous loud motor cycles using the busy road at the far side of the hotel leaving guests to choose between that or a room facing the Mosque with possible noise intrusion from the call to prayers. Staff very polite and the room itself was quite acceptable, thank you.

Arrived at the hotel at a very busy time with hundred of people taking part in religious activities in and around the hotel. Checking in when the area was so busy was stressful. We got to the rooms and we had not been given adjoining rooms which added to the stress. The room smelled of rotten fruit and smelt disgusting. Luckily we only stayed for one night as it was a terrible experience.

Due to the last minute plan to visit Malaysia from Cambodia I was in a giffy to book the hotel and I ended up choosing Movenpick however I noticed most tour operators do not pick from this hotel it being really far from the centre hence I requested for a cancellation and a refund for the same. I have never come across such an instance where the hotel had no courtesy whatsoever and Sangar Gopal the Loyalty manager at the Hotel did not even respond appropriately like they just won't budget even the booking platform requested however they never agreed. So now I have paid for it and had to also book another hotel in the city center inorder to have the tours go smooth. I mean pathetic customer service and no understanding what so ever despite me telling then I'm on a solo travel and it is inconvenient to travel to the centre and be there before 7am for me to get on to the tours in time. Ridiculous and not expected from a so called 5 star property to stoop to this level.

Did a last minute booking because my flight timing has changed and I had a 15 hour layover. Called the hotel to inquire about their shuttle timing and it was just nice as I had an hour after my arrival to get to the pickup point. Spoke with Aqilah and am very grateful as she gave me the information I needed to help me decide. She waited on the phone while I made the booking on the app. She then helped me with the registration for the shuttle booking both to the hotel and also the next morning to the airport. As a platinum member, I inquired about the lounge since I was not able to check in until 2100 and the lounge was only from 1700-1900. Shawne from the loyalty department called me the next day and told me they will make the necessary preparations for me and also keep some food for me not only from the lounge but also chocolate hour. Nice! I’m really impressed by now. Pickup was on time and I had a chat with the driver, who says his name is Syurga (heaven). Seems like after waiting for a while, no one else was coming and I was the only registered guest for that round. Off we go. 30 mins later, I’m now at the hotel, and it seems like they are expecting my arrival. Checked in by Saif Danial. Super friendly, and he just took over the whole process. Proceeded next with the welcome drink just a few steps away at the restaurant and while I was redeeming my welcome drink, he mentioned that Shawne had arranged for food and chocolate hour to be served at the restaurant instead of leaving it in the room. Wow. Really. Was attended by Ammar Harith at the restaurant. Really really impressed with the level of service and hospitality. These guys really made my day. And I haven’t even seen my room yet. Nice touches guy! Keep up the good work! Sure wished I could meet Aqilah and Shawne who did the necessary preparations for my pre-arrival. But there’s always a next time, especially with this level of service.
