We truly had a wonderful stay at the hotel, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Front Office: Special thanks to Jerry Lumacad for taking such great care of us. He made sure our accommodation was comfortable and everything went smoothly. We also appreciate all the front office staff for their warm and friendly service. Concierge: Big thanks to Triskie and AJ, and to the entire concierge team, for always being helpful and ready to assist us with anything we needed. Food & Beverage: Breakfast was delicious every day! The staff were very accommodating and attentive. Special mention to Lester and June for their outstanding service. Housekeeping: Huge thanks to Rogelio for keeping our room spotless every day. His excellent service truly made our stay more comfortable. Thank you as well to the whole housekeeping team. Sales & Marketing: Thank you to Rober Barral for handling our event so professionally and smoothly. Everything was well organized. Banquet: The banquet team did an amazing job during our party last night. Special thanks to Rudy, the banquet manager, for his excellent leadership and service. Overall, we are extremely happy and satisfied. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay and our daughter’s celebration truly memorable. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The staff at the hotel are lovely, the location is good with lots of good restaurants and facilities close by. Michelle in Sails was especially lovely as well as Ken in reception, but I wish I had remembered more names as everyone was amazing! The hotel had a fantastic dance show and the snorkelling is amazing too. Lots of activities for kids too, fantastic pool. Really good coffee and chocolate hour was a bonus. The only criticism is the bed is actually queen not king, so they need to amend the description.

Booked a 1 Bedroom Premier Suite at Mövenpick Hotel Mactan Cebu, staying on the 21st floor. Given that the nightly rate was comparable to a one night stay at either Shangri-La at the Fort or Grand Hyatt BGC, my expectations were understandably high. Unfortunately, the experience did not justify the price. The suite itself felt surprisingly small for a “Premier” category. The bathroom layout was particularly frustrating, access was through a very narrow doorway with a sliding door that did not slide smoothly, making it awkward to use and poorly designed for comfort. One of the main reasons I book a one bed suite is to have functional separation of space. I typically want to work and prepare coffee in the morning while my companion is still asleep. However, the living area had no proper working surface, and the refreshment area lacked a sink, which significantly reduced its usability. The most disappointing issue occurred on the morning of checkout, when the hot water stopped working entirely. I contacted reception, but after waiting an hour with no fix or clear solution and needing to prepare for checkout, we had no choice but to shower in cold water. That might be acceptable in a budget hotel, but it is not acceptable for a five star property charging premium rates. Overall, this stay felt misaligned with the brand promise and pricing. At this rate point, I expected thoughtful design, functional space, and responsive service. Unfortunately, the experience fell short on all three.
