Not satisfactory at all. The room is, above all, seriously dusty. There is a strong odour of cigarettes. My allergies (eyes, nose, skin) kept me awake most of the night. The room cannot be well lit. The decor of the furniture and the fixtures are dated. The shower is excellent and powerful. The toilet is small. Toiletries are quite inadequate. No slippers. The sound of the television is kept low, making it very difficult for someone with poorer hearing / older age like myself to enjoy anything if sitting in the head of the bed. We travel as a group and was offered a buffet breakfast. The staff was very helpful and responsive. But, with (at least one) insect surveying our table offerings, I limited myself to hard boiled eggs and coffee from the jug. I would definitely not recommend if one can afford elsewhere.

Movenpick Hotel, Izmir Yet another cookie cutter hotel. A wonderful place to stay in. Clean, spacious rooms. Just wish the room lighting was better. Too dim to be able to do anything, like sorting clothes in one’s suitcase. Restaurant - avoid the set menu as it is rather basic and austere. The breakfasts are lavish and good.

The staff were great. The food was great as well but the selection was small. The beds were high above ground. On the other side everything except 2 water bottles, you had to pay for and the prices were high (KitKat = 120 TL). One of the best hotels in Izmir in my opinion. The location was also one of the best, next to the sea.

I stayed at the Movenpick Hotel in Izmir with a group from September 21st to 23rd. While the hotel itself was lovely and the food was excellent, I must unfortunately report a serious incident. Someone who had access to my room stole my bank card details and used them to make a purchase on the RMS Beauty Turkey website. I am still in the process of resolving this with my bank, but no one from our group had access to my room, making this experience extremely disheartening. As a result, I have been robbed of over £300. The only time my wallet was left in the room was when I went down for dinner with the group. This incident has cast a shadow over what was otherwise a pleasant stay.

Dear Valuable Guest, I hope this message finds you well.We fully understand how distressing this must be and how it has impacted your experience.Following your report,we immediately conducted a thorough investigation,which included a review of our security camera footage and an analysis of the door lock access records for your room.Based on the findings,we have not uncovered any evidende that suggests this incident occured as a result of any actions by our team members.Our housekeeping staff,particularly the individual who serviced your room,has been with us for 9 years without any previous complaints or issues of the nature.Additionaly,it is important to note that in Turkey,online purchases cannot be completed without a confirmation code being sent directly to the cardholder's phone,especially when using a new or unfamiliar device.This adds an extra layer of security,making it unlikely that such an incident could occur without the cardholder's direct involvement.While we regret that this situation has cast a shadow over you stay,we would like to emphasize that there is no concrete evidence linking this incident to our hotel or staff.Please feel free to reach out to us if you require any further assistance.We truly value your trust in us and hope that,despite this incident,we can welcome you back in the future for a more positive experience. I stayed from 7th September 'till 9th september. The room and its contents were quite old, it had a bit oppressive atmosphere, you'd expect it to be better, nevertheless it was clean and comfortable. The staff was nice, and especially what made this stay 5* was the exceptional service from Melda. She guided me with excellent recommendations about the city, thank you.
