We had three nights at the Movenpick in Cam Ranh. Our stay wasn’t great. Generally across most areas of service, the hotel seems to be both understaffed and staff are under-trained. Our meals on nearly every occasion took between 30-60 min to arrive. Our daughter has a seafood allergy and when we specified a chicken dish it still came visibly contaminated with seafood after 45 min. Basic service expectations were not meet; being shown to a table at breakfast, having our plates cleared, being provided with napkins at meals (when asked for them, we got one that had a hole in it), the breakfast buffet was a complete shambles with crowds and limited options, house keeping did our rooms at near 3 pm in the afternoon. The beach is mostly unswimmable (my daughter was called out of the water by staff when she was knee deep), we had two rooms that both had significant window drafts and a hot water pressure problem in the shower (I.e takes around 5 min for the water to heat up). Many things you would expect not to pay for you had to pay for; all kids activities and equipment and hire-age of sun lounges around the main pool. This hotel is probably OK for families with young kids that don’t have too high expectations.

This matter has been escalated to our Kitchen and Food & Beverage teams for immediate review and corrective action. We also regret the prolonged waiting times for meals, the lack of attentive service during breakfast, and the shortcomings you experienced across several touchpoints, including housekeeping timing, table service standards, and overall organization during peak hours. Regarding the room-related issues such as window drafts and hot water pressure, as well as your comments on beach conditions and chargeable services, we truly appreciate you bringing these to our attention. These concerns have been shared with our Engineering and Management teams for further investigation and improvement planning. While we understand your final comment that the resort may be more suitable for families with lower expectations, we want to assure you that our goal is to deliver a consistently high standard of comfort, safety, and service for all guests. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us identify where we have fallen short and where we must improve. Once again, we are truly sorry that your stay was disappointing and did not reflect the experience we strive to provide. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!! We stayed for 2 nights in the 1 bedroom villa and was truly outstanding. Whilst lots of facilities for our son, the highlight were the staff who were super friendly & so accommodating. Lots of choices for food at the restaurants and we were lucky that they had the Swiss chalet restaurant open with Santa and Christmas carols. If you are choosing were to stay in Cam Ranh, make sure you choose the Movenpick. Bravo

We stayed at Mövenpick Resort Cam Ranh as a couple, and it turned out to be exactly what we were looking for — a full reset, beautiful nature, and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The check-in process was surprisingly convenient. You simply download the hotel’s app, where you can find everything you need: activities, spa information, restaurant details, and service requests. It’s modern, quick, and very guest-friendly. We stayed in a villa with a private pool, which was perfect for unwinding and enjoying quiet moments together. The space felt cozy, comfortable, and truly private — an ideal choice if you want to disconnect from the noise and enjoy complete relaxation. The resort grounds are large and beautifully maintained. Everything is green, spacious, and very serene. There are several pools, areas for children, bicycles available around the property, and many little corners to explore. Breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay — a wide variety of options including fresh pastries, ham, several kinds of cheese, fruits, Vietnamese dishes, good coffee, and fresh juices. In the evenings, the buffet also offered an impressive selection of seafood, meat, sushi, and desserts. The beach is wide, and beautifully maintained, with soft sand and a picture-perfect ocean view. Truly stunning. But above all, what made our stay special was the team. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. We felt welcomed from the very first moment, and that level of hospitality stays with you. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and full of wonderful impressions. We would happily return again.

Good family vacation

We went on a family vacation at the end of July for six days to Vietnam. We arrived at the hotel on July 24th until July 30th. We were three families. We took two suites and one villa for the larger family. The rooms today are very luxurious. The room service was excellent.
