Great Option for Budget Stay in Coburg

What a great hotel to stay at in Coburg! It was comfortable, had great parking, and was so close to downtown Coburg. The staff was very friendly. My only complaint was that I was so hungry when I got in late and was told that I could get pizza at the bar. I went to the bar which was deserted but still during opening hours and there was no staff manning it. I waited for about 10 mins and then left to walk to a nearby restaurant. Could have just gone to a restaurant to start with but I'd been driving all day and just wanted something quick to eat before crashing in bed for the night.

Nice, clean hotel that was located conveniently close to town and to the train station. Bed was comfortable, walls were quite thin as I could hear my neighbor yelling at his football team well into the night. I was in a wheelchair accessible room and the bathroom was quite large however half the shower curtain was missing and it made quite the wet mess on the floor. The fan would not turn on so had to keep the window open all night. Breakfast was good however I wish they changed it up a bit. I was there for 5 nights and the only thing that changed was the flavor of the yogurt. I would rate this an average hotel if it weren't for Andrea at the front desk. She was always smiling and was very helpful, especially with my daily requested to fill my thermos with ice. She even went so far as to write down instructions on how to purchase a train ticket, just in case I had any problems doing so.

Good size and well appointed rooms.

Having stayed in other hotels in the Coburg area I was very impressed with the Ibis. The rooms are a good size and well appointed for this type of hotel. There is a great TV with airplay access, a room safe and USB charging ports. The bathroom is a good size, very clean and a powerful shower. The breakfast offering is good with both hot and cold options. The overall ambiance of the hotel is also good. I have now stayed in this hotel 2 times and will continue to return.

New and clean rooms

I enjoyed the stay here as the room is very new and clean. The bed is very comfortable. My room was facing the train track, so when I opened the window, I could hear the occasional noise from the passing train. Otherwise, it was peaceful when the window was closed. The location of the hotel is good as it is less than 10 minutes walk to Marktplatz, which is the city center. The breakfast has a nice selection of eggs, cold cuts, cheese, bread, etc. They are freshly prepared and replenished regularly.
